Like his powers, The Flash is defined by relationships and part of the people we see today is based on his relationships. Whether it was good and memorable or short and forgetful, Barry and Team Flash have had a lot of them.

Now in season 6, we look back at all the relationships built and whether or not we even want to remember them. Whether it was the awkward chemistry, unlikely pairing or simply the forced nature, here are six relationships that didn't last long enough and four that didn't end soon enough.

TOO LONG: Cisco & Gypsy

In season 3 of The Flash, we were introduced to Gypsy, an intergalactic cop, with powers very similar to Cisco's. This is why the two felt an instant connection and were soon in a long-distance relationship up until season 4. At first, the couple was popular among the show's fans but as their time together progressed, we saw they just weren't meant to be.

Gypsy is very blunt and actio0n driven, often shooting first and asking questions later. She doesn't worry too much about her emotions and her only goal is to capture her next prisoner. As we know Cisco is a very emotional character, often showing his emotions and never being shy of sharing how he feels. He's the comic relief of Team Flash which counters Gypsy's seriousness.

Although Gypsy met a tragic end, Cisco showed he still loved her by attempting to solve her murder.

NOT LONG ENOUGH: Patty & Barry

Patty Spivot talks to Barry Allen at the police station on The Flash

This one might rile up the fans. As Flash fans know, Barry and Iris are destined for each other, we've seen this in comics, movies, and even the show. However, in season 2, we meet the lovable and dorky Patty Spivot, whop quickly takes a liking to the lovable and dorky Barry. Unfortunately, it's a case of wrong place, wrong time as Barry struggles with balancing his responsibilities as the Flash as well as his feelings for Iris, who is still mourning the loss of her Fiance.

Patty wasn't only perfect for Barry but perfect for Team Flash as her superior detective skills and drive to do good would've been an excellent addition to the team. Unfortunately, her time on the show came to a rapid halt as she left Central City due to heartbreak with Barry and to pursue her career as a CSI.

TOO LONG: Wally & Jesse

Wally gives a card to Jesse on The Flash

Like Barry, Wally also has a love that's destined to be with him and it's not Jesse. Jesse Quick apart from having super speed really shares nothing in common with Wally and their chemistry seemed forced from the very beginning. Often times fans were left wondering if they were even a couple because they would go weeks without even talking to each other.

Wally wasn't a very good boyfriend to Jesse, shunning her due to his jealousy and Jesse wasn't a good girlfriend to Wally because she didn't even have the decency to break up with him in person.

NOT LONG ENOUGH: Caitlin & Ronnie

Considering we saw more of the couple in flashbacks, Ronnie and Caitlin's relationship was brought to a halt twice due to Ronnie's death (both times). In the little, we saw of their relationship, it's no argument they were perfect for each other, with Ronnie being the literal fire to her ice.

Their doppelgangers even shared a romance on Earth-2, being known as super-powered criminals. Even all the years later, Ronnie is very obviously in Caitlin's heart and she only looks to find someone that could bring her as much joy as Ronnie once did.

TOO LONG: Barry & Linda Park

The Flash talks to Linda Park in Flash Season 2

This was a train wreck from the beginning. Linda Park in the comics is Wally West's true love and the girl he is destined to be with, almost exactly like Iris to Barry. Besides that Linda is almost too ditzy and her forced humor quickly got annoying, with fans quickly calling for her to be written out of the show.

It also helps that Barry isn't a very good boyfriend to her,  leading her on knowing full well he still loved Iris. He also left randomly, failed to let her know he was canceling a date and even uses her as bait to capture a murderous Zoom.

NOT LONG ENOUGH: Cisco & Kendra

Before Gypsy broke his heart, Cisco got his heart broken by an Egyptian Goddess. Kendra thought she had a normal life, working as a barista and dating an enthusiastic scientist with voluminous hair. Her life gets turned upside down when she finds out she is over a thousand years old and she is just the latest reincarnation of an Egyptian priestess, destined to be with Prince Kofu.

Cisco played a big role in helping Kendra reach her potential and was a good security blanket for the overwhelmed Kendra. Had she stayed, there is a very good chance these two could've gotten far in their relationship and might even still be together today.

TOO LONG: Iris & Eddie

Iris and Eddie The Flash

Poor Eddie. It seems as though nice guys always do finish last because Eddie was a great boyfriend to Iris, unfortunately, destiny had other plans. He was supportive and protective of Iris, often pushing her to be her best and even attempting to be on good terms with her dad and best friend.

Unfortunately for Eddie, he couldn't compete with Barry and even if he was able to, he met a tragic end to save his loved ones. Although he was a good guy and the relationship looked to be going well, it was still very weird for the fans to see Iris with someone that wasn't Barry.

NOT LONG ENOUGH: Caitlin & Julian

Caitlin and Julian talk with one another over a laptop

This pairing has been up for debate for a long time. Julian started off not being very liked as he was a grumpy, sarcastic, know it all who seemed to rub everyone the wrong way. Caitlin is the complete opposite, she's kind and caring, often being too soft-spoken to even insult anyone. This is why they would've made an amazing couple and this relationship needed more time to flesh out.

Although Julian was no Ronnie, he also was no Zoom (Caitlin's second Ex). He truly cared for Caitlin, going out of his way to save her and make sure she was safe at all times, even bringing her back to life after she had been gravely injured. Vice versa, Julian made Caitlin more outspoken and gave her the confidence she needed to be a respected member of Team Flash.

TOO LONG: Caitlin Snow & Killer Frost

Killer Frost using her powers in The Flash

It could be debated they are the same person, but we all know they're two different people. Over the years Caitlin and Frost have had some sort of sibling relationship, constantly bickering and driving each other crazy but loving each other in the end. The problem is we can only see one at a time, either Caitlin the genius doctor or Killer Frost the dangerous anti-hero.

Many believe that its time to write Killer Frost off the show or at least separate her from being a hero as her role in the comics is the furthest thing from it. Often times Frost has accidentally sabotaged a situation with her lack of medical knowledge and Caitlin has often been a damsel in distress without the help of her alter ego. The best solution would be to just separate the two or simply write them off.

TOO LONG: Harrison Wells & Team Flash

Tom Cavanagh as Harrison Wells The Flash

Since season 1, its almost been a running joke that there is always a Harrison Wells on the team, no matter what universe. There's been an evil Wells, a rude Wells, a clueless Wells, a French Wells, and most recently Pariah. As funny as the idea was in the first couple of seasons, the joke is running out of its humor as the concept is cheesy now.

The best idea would be to stick to one Wells or simply just move on from Wells as a whole as the last couple of them haven't been very well received.
