The current season of The Family Chantel season 4 is being billed as "the beginning of the end" for 90 Day Fiancé couple Chantel and Pedro Jimeno, and fans of the duo can't help but notice Pedro's absence on social media. Pedro went through a lot of grief to be accepted by his in-laws Karen and Thomas Everett, his brother-in-law Riverknight Everett, and his sister-in-law Winter Everett. With Chantel and Pedro's marriage now hanging in a balance, many viewers noted that Pedro did not join the Everett family in a now-deleted post shared by Chantel's younger sister Winter.
While past seasons of The Family Chantel have focused on drama between Pedro and Chantel's family or Chantel and Pedro's family, the main plot line for season 4 is the marital issues between Chantel and Pedro. The couple overcame many hurdles to be together and have notched five years of marriage. However, their marriage is shown in a tattered state during the current season, which premiered on Monday, June 6. Trailers for the season show Chantel and Pedro engaged in many heated arguments, as Pedro calls Chantel lazy and Chantel accuses him of not loving her. Meanwhile, the season premiere showed the couple in a tense state. Fans of Chantel and Pedro have noted that they have not appeared on Instagram together lately, and Chantel has been photographed without her wedding ring.
Winter took to her Instagram to share a series of now-deleted photos to celebrate the premiere of The Family Chantel season 4. Winter shared images with Chantel, Riverknight, Karen, Thomas, and extended family members. "Thank you for tuning in!" she captioned the post. While the images showed a happy family celebrating together, many commenters immediately noted the fact that Pedro was absent from the photos. "C’mon now where Pedro," one of many curious commenters asked. "Chantel isn't wearing her ring either!!" an observant commenter wrote back. "Where the heck is Pedro," another commenter demanded while many echoed similar sentiments. Following the many comments asking about Pedro, Winter chose to remove her first post and instead share a second Instagram post with just her siblings and one with her mother.
While many commenters were alarmed by Pedro's absence, some came up with theories to explain why he wasn't in the images. Some commenters shared that Pedro might have been the one taking the images. The family could have purposely left him out of the images to drum up rumors and excitement for Chantel and Pedro's plot line during The Family Chantel season 4. Other commenters pointed out that Chantel and Pedro recently bought a house together. Therefore, it would be surprising if the couple separated so soon after a major real estate purchase. However, viewers were overall torn since Winter shared several images featuring different members of her family but did not include a single photo with Pedro. The fact that she then deleted those images following curious comments added fuel to the fire.
It took Pedro a long time to be accepted by the Everett family, who are known for being notoriously meddling. Riverknight and Pedro infamously threw fists during a disastrous family dinner gone wrong, while Pedro proved himself to Thomas and Karen after being accused of using Chantel to live in the United States and fund his family in the Dominican Republic. While the Everett family now accepts Pedro, they are a very tight-knit group. A split between Pedro and Chantel would cause the family to turn on Pedro and fully support Chantel.
