The Duggar’s family home was reportedly raided by Homeland Security, but they're denying it. The close-knit family from 19 Kids and Counting has been having some hard times when it comes to keeping the drama at bay, and fans are curious about what the family could be hiding.
The Arkansas family was first introduced to viewers on 19 Kids and Counting, starring Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar and their 19 children. The large family are devout Christians that choose to live by strict standards, which include the girls not wearing pants and dressing modestly. The cameras filmed as the ten boys and nine girls, including Joshua, twins Jana and John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace, and Josie started to grow up and date. There was a dark side in recent years when the eldest son, Josh, was accused of sexually abusing several of his sisters and a family friend when they were younger. The TLC show was canceled, but the network decided to give the older children a spin-off called Counting On.
According to an Arkansas-based network, KNWA, the Duggar family home was reportedly raided by Homeland Security Investigators last week. According to People, the reality TV family denies all allegations that this incident occurred. The large family released a statement saying that they were shocked to see a news report that their home had been raided. The statement went on to read that the news was “untrue” and also addressed the rumor that a family member was under investigation. The family said that living in the public eye has taught them to not react to everything they read.
Even though the family has denied the allegations, a spokesperson for Homeland Security Investigations reportedly toldKNWA about the family home in Tontitown, Arkansas, saying that they do not deny that agents were on the family property in pursuit of an ongoing federal criminal investigation.
The U.S. District Attorney for Western Arkansas did not comment on the investigation or the reason behind the raid. The Duggar family did thank their fans for their love and support, saying that they had to address the media coverage over the alleged raid as it overtook the airways. Jedidiah Duggar announced recently that he would be running for Arkansas State Representative as a conservative and also released a message that said he was “unaware” of a federal investigation or raid. While the rest of the Duggar family has laid low, Josh has still been making waves as he is being sued for fraud and a breached contract. Josh has a trial date set for April 27, 2020, and fans are hoping his family will be there to support him.
