Not only have true crime enthusiasts been taken by the plot but several of the characters were seen to thoroughly capture everyone's attention too.

The Dropout characters are complicated, and the zodiac can help to understand how some people are motivated to do the things they had done. Some signs are more aligned with business acumen, while others might have the creative aptitude that supports the more dominant personalities.

Lorraine Fuisz - Aries

Lorraine is an extremely social and outgoing housewife when she's introduced in the first episode. She always goes the extra mile to make connections and be honest about what she can do for others (although sometimes, her compassion for the outcomes of the people around her is undervalued).

Although it's hard to exactly pinpoint which zodiac sign she fits in best, some fans might argue that the Aries archetype is best as they like to bring people together. This sign is also characterized by initiative and courage, and Lorraine was not afraid to be opinionated or bold.

Tyler Shultz - Taurus

Tyler Shultz is an admirable and down-to-earth character. His grandfather gets him a job working for Theranos, so his eventual betrayal holds a lot of weight. Tyler is a little aloof at first, but eventually adamant in his choice to use his privilege for a good cause.

The Taurus archetype strives for peace, balance with nature, and pleasure. Tyler might have been a little naive and hesitant at first, but his loyal and determined nature eventually leads him to do the right thing.

Sunny Balwani - Gemini

Geminis are adaptable, intelligent and versatile. They represent dual energies and, as an air sign, they can easily identify the big picture of any situation. A Gemini is can also read a situation well and is quick to act to resolve an issue. This might be why Sunny fits into this sign so well.

Having previously founded and sold his last business, Sunny also embodies the social dominance and tenacity of a typical Gemini. His passion is unwavering, however, the viewers do see him commit some pretty terrible things.

Phyllis Gardner - Cancer

Stanford Medical School Professor, Dr. Phyllis Gardner is extremely passionate about her work and cares deeply about her subject of expertise. It is ultimately Gardner's quote to journalist, Carreyrou, that helps expose Holmes for her questionable business practices.

Cancers are known as 'The Nurturers' of the zodiac. They often devote their lives to the well-being of others, and as water signs, are extremely deep and connected to their emotions. Cancer's might be stereotyped as over-emotional, but Phyllis exemplifies how their intuitive and compassionate nature allows for being steadfast in their convictions.

David Boies - Leo

David Boies is a lawyer known for representing Al Gore, a disgraced Hollywood executive and Theranos. His intimidating demeanor makes him great at his job and it's not surprising that he is a well known prosecutor in his industry.

Leos are fire signs who like to be the center of attention. Known as the 'performer,' they might have a zest for drama and theatrics, which goes perfectly with this celebrity lawyer character. David leans into his ego and desire to win which makes him the best example of a Leo in this bunch.

Noel Holmes - Virgo

Elizabeth's mother plays an integral role in her daughter's decision to drop out of Stanford and pursue her dreams. After Elizabeth confides in her mother about her sexual assault, Holmes does her best to assure her daughter that her hurt doesn't have to define her and tries to help her through this difficult period.

As the Healers of the zodiac, Virgos are extremely communicative and organized in their approach to emotional labor. While Holmes might be willing to overlook her daughter's fraudulent practices, like a Virgo, her endless support comes from a desire to protect.

Erika Cheung - Libra

Erika Cheung is one of the brave employees whose actions lead to the downfall of Theranos. While she struggles with putting her name on what will ultimately help get the federal government get involved in regulating Theranos, her desire for justice is what makes her such a great representation of a Libra.

Libras are the sign of balance, hence the image of the scales. Also known as the Diplomat, a Libra strives for grace and can be very persuasive. Erika is headstrong in her decision to do something about what she sees at Theranos and her ability to aim for what's right embodies this sign's best traits.

Rakesh Madhava - Scorpio

A split image of Rakesh and the Scorpio sign

Scorpio is the more severe of the water signs and Rakesh is a pretty intense and intelligent biochemical engineer. He spends a lot of time ignoring the problems at Theranos, probably due to the respect that he has for Holmes' ambition. Over time, he makes the resolute decision to leave the company and end his complacency.

It is extremely fitting for Rakesh that Scorpios are known as "The Alchemists." They're usually concerned with unlocking the mysteries of life, while also coming off pretty mysterious themselves.  It was hard to tell if Rekesh would compromise his morality, but in typical Scorpio fashion, he didn't mind exposing his soft side when it came to acknowledging his wrong doing.

Richard Fuisz - Sagittarius

An image of Richard Fuisz and the Sagittarius sign

Richard has the confidence and goal orientation of a Sagittarius. He also is not respected by the Holmes family and many of his peers. Despite helping them in their time of need, he's treated as a second-class citizen because his business isn't deemed moral enough for the family that was involved in Enron and one of the biggest scams in tech history.

Sagittarius people are achievement-minded and Richard makes it his mission to go after Elizabeth and take down her extremely fraudulent and dangerous company. Sags are known for their ambition, need for exploration, and intellectual pursuit of principals and law, so it makes sense that he would appear at the center of bringing Holmes and Theranos down.

Edmond Ku - Capricorn

A split image of Edmond Ku and the Capricorn sign

The Capricorn spirit is one of integrity and accomplishment through organized effort. Edmond Ku is a fictional character created behind the scenes, but he is a stand-in for the many engineers that were unwittingly a part of Holmes' scam.  It's never easy for him to stand behind Holmes' lies and he breaks easily under the pressure to keep up with her deception.

Ku exemplifies the organization and maturity that Capricorns can accomplish when they overcome their karmic debts and take responsibility for their actions. Caps are usually pretty status-conscious people, so it's no wonder he is unwilling to compromise his future by continuously lying for Theranos.

Elizabeth Holmes - Aquarius

A split image of Elizabeth Holmes and the Aquarius sign

Not all Aquariuses are unrelenting liars, but they are known to be innovators who pave their own paths. Elizabeth's father was a successful VP at Enron before it fell to similar circumstances as her own company would.  Since childhood, she wanted to become a billionaire, and it's a shame that she didn't think she actually needed a working product to do that.

Elizabeth is an extreme version of an Aquarius, whose archetype is most associated with 'The Maverick.' Distinguished by their ability to stop at nothing to get ahead, Elizabeth's narcissism is not exactly in alignment with the Aquarius nature, but her ambition and desire to help people are.

Ian Gibbons - Pisces

A split image of Ian Gibbons and the Pisces sign

Ian's trajectory is heartbreaking and that's because he's likely the only innocent person in this story. It's hard to watch him be edged out of an enterprise he was integral to starting. His inability to stand up to cruelty really exemplifies the self-sacrificial tendencies of the Pisces.

Pisces is the sign of dreams, fantasy, and deep feelings. Ian is overwhelmed by the amoral characters around him. Pisces are naturally empathetic so it's possible he tried to see the good in the company for as long as he could.
