As the new season of The Crown just premiered mid-November, we thought we'd combine our favorite British royal drama series with our favorite British magical movie franchise. You undoubtedly have your favorite character from the royal family, and now you have twice as many actors and actresses to fall in love with as they bring these people to life. Each character is dynamic, unique, and totally mesmerizing. So, in case you're wondering which ones you'd be sitting at a table with at Hogwarts, we've made a list. Here are the main characters from the show and the Hogwarts Houses the Sorting Hat has placed them into.

Princess Margaret - Gryffindor

We all love this absolutely fiery and powerful woman. Margaret is brave, daring, and definitely likes to push the envelope. She's loyal to the ones she loves, and she has more than enough nerve for the entire castle. Margaret likes to take action, and she will never sit idly by when she could be on an adventure or taking a chance. Like this house, she can be guilty of arrogance and recklessness, but she's got courage coming in waves. She's Gryffindor pretty well summed up, and we definitely never want to get in this bombshell's way.

Queen Mother - Hufflepuff

The Queen Mother is pretty patient and down to earth. She's loyal to her family, and she never speaks up against any of their choices. She just is - and she's definitely about fairness, kindness, and going with the flow.

She doesn't like to step on toes, and she's definitely okay with letting the other characters take on the adventures. The weakness of this house is their struggle with self-esteem, which is probably why this character usually takes a back seat. At the end of the day, though, she loves her daughters with her whole heart, and she's a loving Hufflepuff.

Antony Armstrong-Jones - Slytherin

Antony, Margaret's photographer husband, is definitely an interesting character. He likes to be in charge, and he's definitely determined. Most importantly, and most akin to this slithery house, Antony is proud, resourceful, and ambitious. For the negative side of this house, it's not a far stretch to see him as arrogant, either. Still, this man is very intelligent, and he fits into this house pretty well.

Anthony Eden - Slytherin

You might remember this man as the one who took over as Prime Minister after Winston Churchill. He works pretty closely with Elizabeth, and it's safe to say they don't exactly get along all the time. We think Anthony fits here the best, because he definitely craves power and leadership. He's loyal to whoever is loyal to him, and at times he can be pretty proud. However, he's determined and resourceful, which definitely places him in this house.

Peter Townsend - Ravenclaw

Peter Townsend, Margaret's long lost lover, is extremely level-headed and wise. He's quiet, but he's clever and creative. This house's motto is "do what is wise", and we definitely see Peter make this choice when he leaves Margaret.

Sometimes his position and brains can be a bit overbearing, but we know that Peter is one of the smartest people in the room, regardless who else is there.

King George - Ravenclaw

Elizabeth takes after her father quite a bit, and it's probably not surprising that this leader is a Ravenclaw. He's level-headed, and at the end of the day, he will always do what is wise. He doesn't seek cheap thrills, and he's not cunning, but he fits in this house because of his knowledge and wisdom. He always makes the best and most wise choice, and we know that's where his daughter gets it from.

Martin Charteris - Hufflepuff

Martin is Elizabeth's private secretary. This man wears his heart on his sleeve, and we're pretty sure he would do anything for Elizabeth. He's funny, loyal, and totally kind-hearted. He's a Hufflepuff pretty summed up, and this character will always have your back and a smile on his face.

We could all use a Martin in our life, just like we all need a Hufflepuff. He's a pretty perfect guy to have around, and definitely keeps Elizabeth's spirits up.

Philip, Duke of Edinburgh - Gryffindor

It's probably not surprising that Philip would get sorted here. In fact, him and Margaret are a lot alike. Philip is daring, courageous, and loves adventure. He also is unwilling to sit by and let things unfold. He likes to take the reigns, and he definitely wears his emotions loud and proud. A Gryffindor is also chivalrous, which we definitely see from his position in the war. We also know a Gryffindor can be a bit too reckless, hot-headed, and passionate, and that's pretty much Philip in a nut shell.

Tommy Lascelles - Slytherin

Tommy was the first Private Secretary of Queen Elizabeth, and previously served King George VI. This character is very quiet, but he is always thinking. Slytherins are actually the most loyal house, and Tommy definitely shows his loyalty to the Crown. He's also cunning, ambitious, and the most resourceful character on the show. This determined and intelligent character is definitely a good one to have on your side, and he's a pretty slithery perfect Slytherin.

Queen Elizabeth II - Ravenclaw

We've already mentioned that this powerful and brilliant gal takes after her father, so it's not surprising to also find her in this house. Elizabeth is actually amazing at separating her emotions from her wisdom, and this allows her to be a fearless and pragmatic leader. She's curious, smart, and definitely has her own sense of self. Like all Ravenclaws, though, her strengths can lead her to be a bit isolated from others, which we unfortunately see to be true throughout the series. Elizabeth is a Ravenclaw through and through, though, and it's probably for the best to have a Ravenclaw as the brilliant and wonderful Queen of England.
