In recent seasons, fans have watched The Challenge get taken over by veterans from another competition-based reality series. Competitors like Fessy Shafaat, Josh Martinez, and Kaycee Clark all got their start on Big Brother before making their mark on MTV. However, not all viewers are in support of the BB alum's reign on The Challenge, and are venting their frustrations.

If you've been watching The Challenge the last five seasons, then you're well aware of how many Big Brother veterans have transitioned over to MTV stardom. Along with Josh, Fessy, and Kaycee, other Big Brother alums who have competed on The Challenge include Paulie Calafiore, Swaggy C, Bayleigh Dayton, and Da'Vonne Rogers, among others. The American version of Big Brother is one of the longest-running series within the franchise. The show follows houseguests as they compete in challenges and work to avoid being voted out of the house. The last person in the house wins the $500k grand prize. Fessy is the only Challenge competitor who walked away from Big Brother season 20 a winner.

In this season of Double Agents, viewers have seen alliances formed between former Big Brother alums like Josh, Fessy, and Kaycee. However, some onlookers are not in support of the rival show alliance. "With what we have seen, I hope producers start casting more from Survivor and less from Big Brother," one Redditor titled a thread. According to the fan, they think "the few players casted from survivor (Jay and Natalie) have been great." Additionally, they say the two competitors added "the perfect combination of interesting but not there ONLY to cause drama." But, when compared to the BB alums, the Redditor thinks they "have been overall disappointing."

The Redditor continued, saying, "Even if some are physically fit, they overall whine and complain more and seem to be more interested in making an influencer career out of these shows than winning competitions." Others joined the discussion and agreed the BB alums come off as though they want "Instagram careers" after transitioning to MTV. "It’s harder because Survivor contestants and usually older and I think has the least amount of actor/model contestants," one person said. "Yeah a lot of them are actual die hard survivor fans and respect the show and don’t want an Instagram career after," added another. When considering the current BB alums competing on The Challenge, it appears this group of viewers believes Fessy, Josh, and Kaycee are after fame instead of focusing on winning the game.

This season, Fessy has come out of his shell and entertained in-house romances with some of the ladies. On the other hand, Kaycee appears dedicated and locked into the game. In the past, she has gotten close to winning a final but hasn't taken home the grand prize. With Fessy and Kaycee each having a gold skull, the two BB alums have inched that much closer to winning the game.
