The Challenge: Double Agents rookie Amber Borzotra is best known for her appearance on Big Brother 16, but she's now ready for a reality TV comeback. When fans were introduced to Amber on BB16 - which aired in 2014 -, she was a 26-year-old esthetician from North Hollywood, California. But despite her charisma, intelligence, and willingness to play the game, Amber faced two major obstacles on BB. For one, Caleb Reynolds a.k.a. Beast Mode Cowboy developed a crush on Amber and was dead-set on "getting the girl." This obsessive crush ended up restricted Amber's gameplay not only in the house, but also in the edit for the viewers at home.
In truth, it was clear that Amber Borzotra could have been a competitive player on Big Brother 16, but she never had room to make moves, and she was never able to fully dodge Caleb Reynolds' shenanigans. But Caleb aside, the bigger problem for all the women on BB16 was that this was an incredibly - and even absurdly - male-dominated season. The men just ran the house and shut out all of the girls who might've had any potential to challenge them. And Amber was another casualty, getting 12th place and going on to become the last pre-jury evictee of the season.
Now, Big Brother star Amber Borzotra is making her comeback on MTV's The Challenge: Double Agents. In the years since BB16, Amber worked as a model and as an actress. For instance, she starred in Roxie Blum's 2016 film Little Mermaid and in the Grinman Brothers' 2020 movie Fierce. As anyone can see on her Instagram profile, Amber is insanely fit and can do it all: dancing, yoga, ballet, high-intensity workouts - you name it. And if that wasn't impressive enough, the fans also love Amber's sense of humor on social media. In a particularly hilarious video (seen below), Amber pretends that she's hiding from her husband and kids by going inside the oven with a champagne bottle. As of this writing, Amber has 122,000 followers on Instagram.
Needless to say, the fans are looking forward to watching Amber Borzotra compete on a show without just being restricted to the role of a love interest, and The Challenge: Double Agents is the perfect opportunity for her to transcend that archaic Big Brother storyline. Everyone knew, even back on BB16, that Amber had much more to offer than a showmance storyline. Hopefully, she will now get to show exactly what she's made of.
MTV is releasing The Challenge season 36 this week, and the fans couldn't be more excited about it. The Free Agents format was pretty popular with some fans, so the Double Agents twist will surely please many viewers as well.
