With The Challenge: Double Agents now underway, viewers get to see the return of Chris "CT" Tamburello to compete for his 18th season on the MTV series. Even though he is known for being an aggressive competitor on The Challenge, CT first got his start on The Real World: Paris back in 2003. And yet, he has remained a reality TV staple for decades to come. CT is one of the toughest competitors to ever grace everyone's TV screens, and there are a few reasons why he's still remembered nearly two decades after making his first appearance on MTV.

When CT Tamburello first got his start on The Real World: Paris, he was known as a guy who had a loose temper, often getting into arguments with his roommates on the show and causing tension amongst them. That didn't change much once he crossed over to The Challenge, as he still often gets into altercations including a physical one on The Duel II with his fellow Real World: Paris co-star Adam King. This particular fight resulted in both of their disqualifications and the dissolution of their partnership on Rivals. Nonetheless, it seems that becoming a father has stopped CT from his angrier days, and even helped motivate him to still compete on the show.

Despite becoming a father, CT is still known to many as one of the most powerful contestants to ever compete on The Challenge. The fans only have to take the infamous Johnny Bananas elimination on Cutthroat as an example. And still, ever since his first time on the show, CT has consistently evolved as a player and as a person over these two decades. Now, the tough exterior that he once showed is diminished by a side that many viewers have seen before: a warm and caring side.

During an interview with Men's Health about his evolution as a player and a person, CT  Tamburello said: "You know, I don't want to say I have one of the longest story arcs on the history of reality television. But, I mean, I've basically grown up on television. I was technically an adult when I started to do the shows, but I was a “man-child.” I went from running around with my head cut off to who I am now." Many think it was the birth of his son, Christopher Jr., that caused him to become a more caring person. However, many fans still love to watch him compete on TV nonetheless.

With The Challenge: Double Agents now well underway, viewers will get a chance to see CT back in action once again. It is unknown how far CT makes it this season, so fans will just have to tune in to see how he fares in the competition this season.
