Even though fans are still thoroughly enjoying The Challenge: Double Agents, speculation about the next season has already begun. A spoiler account on Twitter recently revealed details about season 37, including cast members and where the show will be filmed. Fans can expect to see many familiar faces and even some new ones. MTV may not have confirmed any cast members, but if the rumors are correct, viewers are in for a heck of a season.

The Challenge has been on the air for decades. Recently, MTV has been pumping out back-to-back-to-back seasons, with Double Agents and All-Stars overlapping and now season 37 in the works. Fans know the cast can make a tremendous impact on how the season will play out, so knowing who the competitors will be can tell you a lot about a season. There are some returning favorites in the cast, but if fans were looking to see fewer Big Brother alum, they’ll be disappointed.

According to spoiler account @GamerVev, pre-production of season 37 is finally underway and April 11 is reported to be the first day of mandatory quarantine for the cast. Production has quarantined many cast members—with more potentially on the way—though not all who are quarantined will make it on the show. MTV plans to sequester more cast than is needed in case someone tests positive for COVID-19. Though Double Agents filmed in frigid Iceland, season 37 is being filmed in Croatia, so contestants won’t need to bundle up quite so much.

The cast contains a mixture of veterans and rookies, as usual, but this season seems to be very veteran-heavy. Returning cast members include Nany Gonzalez, Nelson Thomas, Amanda Garcia, Nam Vo, Tori Deal, Devin Walker, Liv Jawando, Fessy Shafaat, Ashley Mitchell, Cory Wharton, Jay Starrett, Big T, Josh Martinez, Kaycee Clark, Aneesa Ferreira, and Kyle Christie. The season’s rookies include Mark Byron (Big Brother UK), Emy Alupei (Survivor: Romania), Michele Fitzgerald (Survivor), Ed Eason (The Circle), Jeremiah White (Love Island 2), Michelle Schubert (Survivor), and Kelz Dyke (Too Hot to Handle). There are also several contestants listed as “up in the air,” including CT Tamburello, Darrell Taylor, and Tori Deal’s ex, Jordan Wiseley.

The cast is an interesting group. Who is included, and more importantly not included, may indicate who wins Double Agents and All-Stars. Aneesa has been on the show for 15 seasons and has expressed a desire to retire from the show after securing her first win. So, for Aneesa to be a part of the cast means she probably didn’t win All-Stars. Also, Leroy Garrett has expressed the same desire, so him not being on the season 37 cast means he might have actually won Double Agentsthough the same could be said about CT.

As MTV works to establish its quarantine bubble for The Challenge season 37, more cast members and alternates are likely to be added. Contestants are often removed from the competition due to injury, so perhaps the quarantine alternates can be swapped in. Double Agents is wrapping up, All-Stars is picking up speed, and now production on season 37 is underway. Is MTV giving fans too much of a good thing? Or will viewers be just as excited for season 37 as they were for all the seasons that came before it?
