After being eliminated on The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies, many fans are eager to know if Amber Borzotra and Jeremiah White’s showmance transitioned into the real world. The two were one of the couples teased in the season 37 trailer and were getting awfully cozy together on the show. Even their elimination loss didn’t seem to faze Amber and Jeremiah, but it turns out their relationship was short-lived.

Though Jeremiah was on this season from the beginning, Amber joined the show after rookie player Lauren Coogan was deactivated and sent home. The reigning champion from last season made waves right away, and was the first veteran to be sent into elimination by another veteran. Jeremiah kept a low profile through much of the season, but right away Amber was perceived to be a threat, and many of the other rookies ganged up against the Challenge champ. Amber and Jeremiah struck up a romance on Spies, Lies & Allies, and seemed to be very close all the way up until they got sent home.

The pair gave it their all in the elimination arena but ultimately came up short. Still, the loss didn’t seem to impact their bond, and Amber and Jeremiah walked off with their arms around each other. However, fans hoping to see more of the Challenge couple outside of the show will be disappointed, because Amber and Jeremiah’s relationship was strictly short-term. On August 19, Amber went Instagram official with her boyfriend, fitness model Chauncey Palmer. “I genuinely fell for someone when I wasn’t searching for love,Big Brother alum Amber said of her new relationship. “I was searching for myself and found a friend who became the love of my life.”

While Amber found happiness with someone outside the show, it seems Jeremiah’s love life is less fulfilling. The Love Island alum hasn’t posted pictures with any other women in some time and it’s fair to say he’s single. Many fans will be surprised to learn that Amber and Jeremiah didn’t pursue a relationship after the show, because throughout season 37 they seemed so close—the couple even stole kisses while competing in an elimination challenge. However, the real world is very different from the show, and many Challenge relationships have fallen apart after the cameras stop filming.

Amber and promising male rookie Jeremiah didn’t win The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies and their relationship didn’t survive their elimination either. However, both seem happy after season 37—Amber is head over heels for a new man and Jeremiah seems to be living his best life. Though the two of them couldn’t make it work off the show, they’re not the first (and won’t be the last) to see a spicy showmance fizzle in the real world.
