Amazon Prime's The Boys turned out to be one of the biggest and most talked-about shows of 2019. Centering on a vigilante team that goes up against the corrupt superheroes of their world, it marked a different take on shows in the genre. Fans are eagerly anticipating the second season.

That's why everyone was so excited when the official teaser trailer for season two recently dropped. It gave audiences a quick look at what to expect in our next adventure with the characters we've come to love. But with such a short trailer, there's a lot you may have missed, so here are 10 things you might have overlooked.

The Boys Are All Back Together

To be fair, this is something you probably expected when you heard that The Boys was getting a second season. But the way the first run of episodes ended left things in the air. Hughie, Marvin (Mother's Milk), Frenchie, and Kimiko were frantically escaping from a gunfight.

Meanwhile, Billy Butcher was with Homelander at the house of his wife Becca and her child with the sociopathic superbeing. The trailer reveals that, at least for a time, Billy rejoins his vigilante team. We get a shot of them speeding off together in a small boat.

Hughie vs. Billy

Billy's obsession with bringing Homelander to justice caused plenty of problems throughout the series. One of his last interactions with Hughie saw them get into a heated argument and go their separate ways. That's a big deal because they worked together for most of the show.

As noted in the previous entry, the Boys get back together. But it looks like things aren't going smoothly. There's a "blink and you'll miss it" clip of Hughie getting punched in the face. It can't be confirmed that his aggressor is Billy but the hair, height, and shape all seem to line up.

Homelander And His Milk

One of the most prominent shots of the trailer shows Homelander standing triumphantly by his son on the roof of a house. It comes across as a big moment for him, where he's possibly teaching his son about his powers. But a much earlier shot ranks among the more disturbing of them all.

It sees Homelander with a bottle of what looks to be milk. He awkwardly has his tongue shoved into the bottle, seemingly loving the taste of it. When one considers his serious mommy issues and the relationship he had with Madelyn, there's a good chance that he's devouring breast milk.

Things Get Bloody At Vought

For the most part, the action of The Boys in season one was handled outside of the headquarters of the Seven. Vought Industries kind of came across as a safe zone of sorts because the fighting was often done in various other locations. That looks like it will change in season two.

Ashley Barrett, a publicist at Vought Industries who works closely with Starlight, is seen getting bloodied in the trailer. It isn't her blood, either. It seems like something or someone explodes and she gets the bodily residue all over herself. And this whole thing seems to happen at Vought.

A-Train Is In The Hospital

The season one finale left us with a ton of questions heading into this new season. One of those was about the fate of A-Train. The speedster became addicted to Compound V, leading to some incredibly dangerous behavior. His final scene of the season saw him setting up to fight Starlight.

That's when his Compound V addiction came back to haunt him. A-Train went into cardiac arrest and Starlight tried to help him despite their differences. The new trailer showed A-Train in a hospital bed and he wasn't looking good. Interestingly, no other new shots of him seem to have been shown.

More Giancarlo Esposito

For several years, Giancarlo Esposito has been one of the most versatile and talented actors around. He has shined in shows like Breaking BadOnce Upon a Time, and Community, among others. So his appearance in an episode of The Boys was a welcome surprise for most viewers.

There's a good chance that we're going to get more of Esposito this season. With the untimely death of Madelyn Stillwell just as she was headed for a promotion that his character offered her, one can assume he may replace her role on the show. The trailer only gives us one shot of him but it's a prominent one.

Someone New With Powers

We know that this world is filled with superpowered people. Each member of the Seven has special abilities, as does Kimiko. But this trailer hints at another powered person. One clip shows someone in a hat with their hands facing out as some kind of shockwave forces several people back.

Shortly after, there's another moment where it looks like that same person uses those powers to knock someone back into a car. While we can't be sure who this is, it does add a new wrinkle to the story. Could this be one of the soldiers injected with Compound V at the end of season one?

The Deep Is Tough To Figure Out

There might not be a more complicated character on the show than The Deep. When we first meet him, he blackmails Starlight for a sexual favor in a deplorable act. As the show goes on, he pays dearly for this act and has his whole life turned upside down.

By the end of the season, The Deep isn't sure of his standing with The Seven as he's shipped off to Sandusky, Ohio. The trailer gives us a few moments with him. In one, he looks depressed and in another, he's angry at a bar. But the other shot of him sees him having fun while posing with a lady friend. We have no idea what's going on with him.

Hughie Has A Hand

Hughie always seems to find himself in situations that he should probably avoid. It looks like that trend will continue this season. The trailer sees him standing in front of Starlight's mother Donna. At first glance, it seems harmless enough as he meets the mother of the woman he cares for.

But a closer look reveals something pretty gruesome. Hughie stands there holding someone else's severed hand. If you pause the trailer, you'll find that is what Donna is staring at. One has to wonder what happened to bring all of these elements together.

Starlight Fights The Seven?

It's kind of incredible that these clips are so short because they could be huge. First, there's a clip so quick that it takes a few times to notice. It shows someone dressed in all black, most likely Black Noir, slamming the face of a blonde woman, most likely Starlight, through a glass table.

But the bigger moment comes near the end of the trailer. There's no mistaking this one. While in an elevator together, Homelander clearly chokes Starlight and viciously slams her into the wall. It's such a short clip that it's next to impossible to get a good screengrab of it.
