Arrogant, morally bankrupt, and freakishly powerful, the supes are usually the bad guys in The BoysWhether their spending their time committing extortion, murder, or blatant war crimes, the supes, with a few exceptions, don't seem to do the right thing very often. They might not all be literal Nazis, but they're a far cry from being true heroes.

Although you can pretty much always count on Homelander to do what's best for him, even at the expense of hundreds of human lives, the rest of the supes are filled with surprises. Even though many of them only do the right thing when it's convenient for them, the super-abled characters are at least capable of being heroes, sometimes anyway.

Queen Maeve Fights A Nazi

Queen Maeve, Kimiko, and Starlight fight Stormfront

With her career and life on the line, Queen Maeve made the decision to do the right thing in the Season 2 finale of The Boys. Utilizing her super-strength to help Starlight and Kimikio fight Stormfront, Maeve could have just as easily stayed in Vought Tower where she was safe.

Instead, she risked the wrath of Homelander to help take down one of the evilest villains the show has seen so far. Girls really do get it done.

The Deep Tries To Save A Dolphin

The Deep drives with a dolphin in the back in in The Boys

While the rest of the Seven were fighting amongst each other and committing horrible atrocities, the Deep was focusing on making an impact in different ways. Although he is one of the most reprehensible characters on the show, the Deep showed a glimpse of his humanity in Season 1 when he tried to save a dolphin from an abusive aquarium.

Although the breakout didn't exactly go according to plan and resulted in quite the bloody mess in the middle of the street as well as even more bad press for Vought and The Seven, it's the thought the counts right?

Starlight Calls Out Hypocrisy

In season 1, Starlight is forced to revisit her past of Christain youth camps and is disgusted with many of their teachings after gaining some perspective.

Instead of doing the speech that Vought was expecting, she instead brings attention to how hypocritical much of her childhood teachings were, as well as bravely telling the audience at the"Believe" Expo about the abuse she suffered at the hands of The Deep.

Queen Maeve Opens Up To Starlight

Annie aka Starlight talks to Queen Maeve in bathroom in The Boys

Queen Maeve is consistently one of the more morally upstanding supes in the show. Although she's a far way off from being perfect, Maeve opens up to starlight in Season 1 Episode 8.

Rather than telling Starlight to give up and fall in line in order to prevent Starlight from making her look bad, she tells her to stand up to a system that Vought represents, because it's the right thing to do.

Starlight Fights A-Train

Starlight fights A-Train to defend Hughie in The Boys

When Starlight is first introduced, it's clear that being in the Seven and being the shining image of a superhero is all that she has ever wanted. However, Starlight quickly realizes that doing the right thing isn't always easy or obvious.

In the season 1 finale, Starlight decides to put her money where her mouth is and trust Hughie, putting her life and career on the line to let him escape from a crazed A- Train.

Stormfront Stands Up To The Movie Producer

Stormfront sitting in a chair

Stormfront just might be the vilest character that the show has seen so far. Manipulative, powerful, and quite literally a Nazi, she doesn't have much redeeming value. However, in her manipulation, she does stand up to a few of the more unsavory characters on the show, mainly a movie producer that is pitching a sexist plot for the new movie about The Seven.

Calling out the producer's misogyny and not backing down might have just been done for the show, but it definitely needed to be said. Still, Stormfront has a long way to go to redeem herself, to say the least.

Lamplighter Helps The Boys Break Into Vought

Lamplighter with a cigarrette lighter

Lamplighter is a far cry from a true hero, even though it was an accident that he burned Mallory's children alive, he still has done some horrible things for Vought. He does get a small glimpse at redemption as he helps The Boys break into Seven Tower, , allowing Hughie to save Starlight and her mother from Vought.

Lamplighter eventually taking his own life also speaks to the guilt he feels about the atrocities he committed, which does count for something.

Queen Maeve Saves Starlight

Queen Maeve subdues Black Noir

After getting broken out of her holding cell in Seven Tower, Starlight gets into a nasty fight with Black Noir. Although Starlight is plenty powerful, she's no match Black Noir who is just about to defeat her when Queen Maeve swoops in and saves the day.

Taking advantage of his nut allergy, Queen Maeve shoves an Almond Joy into the mouth of Black Noir, again risking her life and career to help Starlight.

A-Train Helps The Boys

A.Train with his arms crossed

Not exactly an evil character, A-Train's massive ego always seems to get in the way of him doing the right thing. Whether it's taking performance-enhancing drugs or murdering his girlfriend because he thought she was lying, A-Train seldom does what is right.

Much to the viewer's surprise, however, it's A-Train that steals Stormfront's Nazi files and gives them to Hughie and Annie, whom he has previously tried to kill on multiple occasions.

Starlight Stands Up To Homelander

Homelander orders Starlight to kill Hughie in The Boys

Starlight is just about the only supe that can consistently do the right thing. Even when her life is on the line, Starlight won't back down to save those she loves. The best example of this is in Season 2 when the Seven chase The Boys into a sewer.

Even with Homelander breathing down her neck and telling her to kill Hughie, she refuses, allowing Butcher enough time to distract Homelander and allow Hughie and his friends to escape.
