Following Starlight's power ballad from season 2, The Boys gives A-Train his own song. Though it was certainly a hit in season 1, Amazon's adaptation of the Boys comic book series reached even greater heights with its sophomore run in 2020. Between the introduction of a villainous new supe (Aya Cash's Stormfront) and a mysterious head-popping villain, there were plenty of shocks and surprises for audiences to uncover. Now nominated for several Emmys, The Boys is hard at work on season 3, which has yet to receive a premiere date from Amazon.

Most plot details for The Boys season 3 are still being kept under wraps, but the show's new feature "Seven on 7" from Vought News Network has revealed some key details about what's transpired since the season 2 finale. In the case of A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), he's finally back in the Seven after being unceremoniously let go. A-Train has been on quite the journey since The Boys' early episodes, dealing with a Compound V addiction and a downturn in his speedster abilities. Going into season 3, though, it looks like A-Train's image has been rehabilitated.

On Wednesday, Amazon unveiled "Faster," A-Train's brand new song and its accompanying music video. If the song has any major message, it seems to be that A-Train is back and speedier than ever, though one can also find some inspiration in the lyrics, "Faster than the speed of light/watching as your dreams take flight/I think I should stand and fight/then disappear into the night." Check it out below.

The promotional efforts for The Boys during the wait for season 3 has been nothing short of incredible, and A-Train's song is the latest example. Regardless of what one thinks of the actual song, it's a creative way of showing how Vought loves to promote its superheroes like actual celebrities. Erin Moriarty's Starlight received her own song in season 2 titled "Never Truly Vanish," and it too has since received a music video. Could Homelander (Antony Starr) be the next to branch out into music?

Things are only going to get bigger with The Boys season 3. In addition to featuring the raunchy comics event Herogasm, it will introduce one of Vought's original heroes: Solider Boy, played by Supernatural's Jensen Ackles. Though fans are desperately curious to learn more about Soldier Boy, The Boys has remained rather coy about his role in the upcoming season. Still, with all of the other creative things the show is doing to promote season 3, there is a lot to help tide audiences over. For example, they can now listen to "Faster" over and over while dreaming of running like A-Train. That's better than a trailer, right?
