An egoistic homicidal maniac of a "superhero," Homelander has become one of pop culture's most hated figures within a span of a few years. Anthony Starr's devilish performance in The Boys has drawn several reactions on Twitter with people mocking the character's eccentric mannerisms, self-centered nature, and of course, the reign of terror that he inflicts upon others through his superpowers.Given that Homelander himself gets very embarrassed and disgusted with the memes and media mockery projected towards him, the Twitter users behind such sarcastic comments would have been pretty scared if he existed in the real world!

Homelander's Halloween Costume

With Halloween having passed, "Spirit Costumes" was not the only Internet trend making its very own character-specific costume memes. The best part of such costumes is the list of details on the package, which is evident from this meme tweeted by none another than The Boys' distributor Prime Video.

Marketing Homelander as "Dairy Addict with Mommy Issues" is perhaps one of the most apt ways to describe Homelander. While the red cape, the blue suit, and red boots are essential Homelander accessories, this costume also seems to include "Milk!" After all, to accurately cosplay as Homelander, they must be a milk drinker.

Superman Hair

Homelander usually finds a spot when it comes to lists of characters inspired by Superman. With the costume, powers, and leadership roles he assumes, it's easy to equate him to an antagonistic version of the DC superhero.

The similarities can be so detailed that even Homelander sports a trademark downward-pointing strand of hair, a style similar to Superman's trademark curl. It's amusing to see that no matter what situation Homelander finds himself in, his hair stays intact. And the fact that people are paying such attention to detail shows how much the Internet is obsessed with this villain.

Deceivingly Looks Like A Sweet Hero

Despite his violent and homicidal outbursts, Vought tries its best to market Homelander as a friendly Superman-like figure who saves children and even has a moment to click selfies with them. Despite his comparison to the beloved DC character, The Boys fans know Homelander is very different from Superman.

Sending this tweet to a non-Boys watcher would make for a good deceptive prank as judging from this still alone, Homelander does seem like the friendly American hero he sets out to be. Alas, they will be in for a dark and tragic ride once they actually sit down and finish the series.

Mother's Milk

For Homelander, The Boys' favorite member might be Mother's Milk just because of his name. From the first season itself, it is revealed that he seems to harbor an unhealthy obsession with breast milk. Even when he has no human to provide him such substances, he's ready to have ideas with a cow's udder!

Going with the absurdly profane humor of The Boys in general, his dependency on milk has become equally disgusting and funny for the show's audiences. Fans can only wonder if milk starts giving Homelander Compound V-like powers! That said, his obsession with milk may allude to something sad about Homelander's life since he likely didn't have a mother growing up.

A Love/Hate Relationship

While Homelander and his powerful enemy Billy Butcher are often at loggerheads at each other and have been rivals from the start, it is Becca's son Ryan that offers some peace between them. Eager to be the father he wants, both vie for his attention in their own messed-up ways.

Somehow, some fans even go to the extent of thinking that Ryan can bring Homelander and Butcher together as a couple who evolve from a tough love equation to having a co-parenting arrangement. It is disturbing to think in the literal sense, given how both men hardly make for good father figures, but then again, everything is chaotic in the universe of The Boys.

Flabbergasted By Stormfront's Racism

Be it through his violent actions or outspoken racism, Homelander is by all means problematic. But even the Seven's terrifying leader has his limits as can be seen from this Tweet that focuses on how he was taken aback with Stormfront spreading her "White Genocide" propaganda in front of his own son.

Homelander's expression says it all. In fact, many of his facial expressions from the latest season are actively being used as meme templates. So, it would not be surprising to find this particular scene being used as a reaction image on social media.

What If...Homelander Saw His Own Memes?

While Homelander has the capabilities to mass murder all his haters, even the most trivial of jokes can annoy him. Ignoring his own twisted and sick sense of humor, Homelander's ultimate weakness is his own insecurities.

So, if he actually ends up seeing the internet trolling in his name and how his face is being used as a meme template, he is bound to throw a fit of rage that would cause the loss of millions of lives. Some intense milk-chugging and "talking to himself in the mirror" monologues might just follow.

Lactose Intolerance

It would be quite a way for Homelander to die if this were to be true. Perhaps, Billy Butcher and the Boys can poison his milk or trigger some reaction so that the next time Homelander reaches for his beloved drink, the milk turns out to be his Kryptonite.

It is a far-fetched way for a main character to die like this, but even if it can happen in a surreal dream-like sequence, Homelander's lactose intolerance would make for ideal meme fodder.
