Content Warning: This List Contains Spoilers For Ms. Marvel And Season 3 of The Boys.

Season three of The Boys was an utter masterpiece of a show, matching the characteristically gruesome and violent action with devoted and character-driven storylines. It truly set itself as one of the best additions to the superhero genre, brutally beating out its competitors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fans would love to see some of the cast pop up in the MCU, where they could play any of the missing iconic heroes and villains. Some had already done so – Karl Urban (Billy Butcher) played Skurge the Executioner in Thor: Ragnarok and both Erin Moriarty (Starlight) and Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett) were in the first season of Jessica Jones. Others could soon follow suit.

Antony Starr - Wolverine (James "Logan" Howlett)

Antony Starr & Wolverine

Antony Starr’s Homelander is certainly one of the greatest villains to come to live-action. As such, he should be given the chance in the MCU to really play someone heroic. There are a few characters analogous to Homelander who would obviously be good fits, like Sentry or Hyperion, but they are too similar. Instead, he should be considered for the role of Wolverine.

As the most prominent mutant and member of the X-Men, fans are clamoring for his arrival in the MCU, and it feels like it could be coming soon. Of course, to distance itself from Hugh Jackman’s iconic performance, they might want to go with someone younger – with some suggesting Taron Edgerton. However, if given the chance, Antony Starr would definitely hit out of the park. He’s got the right temperament and likability, and his Wolverine would still read as distinct from Jackman’s.

Jack Quaid - Iceman (Bobby Drake)

Jack Quaid & Iceman

Now that Ms. Marvel officially introduced the MCU’s first mutant with Kamala Khan, it opens the door wide to who these actors could play. As for Jack Quaid, he could find himself serving on the X-Men in all sorts of roles. He could make a compelling Cyclops or either of his brothers. It could also be fun to see him as Jamie Madrox, aka Multiple Man. However, his best chance might be as Iceman.

Bobby Drake was an original team member of the X-Men and in Fox’s X-Men franchise, where he was played by Shawn Ashmore – who featured in The Boys season two as Lamplighter. Quaid’s Iceman would likely be a comedic character, but there would be considerable depth, and as a gay hero, fans would love to see him featured prominently.

Laz Alonso - Blue Marvel (Adam Brashear)

Laz Alonso & Blue Marvel

There are plenty of obscure or underrated heroes ripe for the MCU to pick, and Laz Alonso could be a great fit for one, especially after what he showed in the latest season of The Boys. Adam Brashear is a complex and less widely known hero whose origins actually lie in the 1960s despite only being introduced in 2008. He was part of an experiment about anti-matter and the Negative Zone, which naturally went wrong and gave him superpowers.

For a time Adam served as the hero Blue Marvel, but he was unrightfully asked to step down by the president – for fear it would become public knowledge that he is Black. This aspect of his story is difficult but crucial, and his inclusion in the MCU can build on what The Falcon and the Winter Soldier started with Isaiah Bradley. Alonso would be a great vessel for this character, bringing the essential strength, presence, and internal turmoil.

Karen Fukuhara - Psylocke (Kwannon)

Karen Fukuhara & Psylocke (Kwannon)

Before The Boys, Karen Fukuhara already appeared as a superhero as Katana in Suicide Squad in the DCEU. Hopefully, she can return to the role one day – perhaps in her own HBO Max series. However, she could also make a great addition to the MCU, bringing to life one of Marvel’s most unsuspectedly complex heroes, Kwannon, aka Psylocke.

She is a powerful mutant capable of creating weapons out of psychic energy who once served as an assassin for the Hand – possibly connecting her with Daredevil and Iron Fist in the MCU. What most people don’t know is that Kwannon had actually switched consciousness with a character named Betsy Braddock, and the two lived in each other’s bodies for a long time. This could end up being a very complex yet compelling story if it were to be integrated into the MCU.

Tomer Capone - Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner)

Tomer Capone & Nightcrawler

Like several of his castmates, Tomer Capone would make for a fun addition to the MCU’s X-Men team. Since there are so many fantastic characters on the team, the opportunities are ripe. An interesting choice for him could be Nightcrawler, who was popularly played by Alan Cumming and later Kodi Smit-McPhee in Fox’s X-Men Universe.

Capone as Nightcrawler would definitely be something far different and could see him as a more confident hero. This could be more in line with his early days in the comics as the jokester of the team, maybe even using the swords he’s sometimes depicted with. Nightcrawler is definitely one of the most popular X-Men, so it feels safe to say he’ll be in the MCU soon.

Dominique McElligott - Amora The Enchantress

Dominique McElligott & Enchantress

Though it might seem like Dominique McElligott’s time as Queen Maeve in The Boys has come to a close, it might not be that simple. It would not be surprising to learn that she will get dragged into the drama and battles of season four, even after being depowered. However, this could open up the opportunity for her to move to the MCU. She’d definitely find a home there and could play someone vastly different than Maeve – Amora the Enchantress.

She’s one of the few major Asgardians yet to feature in the MCU. As her name implies, she’s a powerful sorceress, particularly adept at seducing and enthralling others to do her bidding. McElligott would be a good fit for the role and it would be exciting to her volley with Thor, Valkyrie, and more. However, this might’ve been the role Lena Headey was set to play in Thor: Love and Thunder before it was cut.

Jessie T. Usher - Nick Fury Jr.

Jessie T. Usher & Nick Fury Jr.

Jessie T. Usher’s A-Train is back with a new lease on life and a new heart to boot, and it seems like he trying to redeem himself. Only time will tell if he’s successful. While he could also take on all sorts of heroes, there is a strange and great opportunity available. He could be tasked with playing Nick Fury’s son, Nick Fury Jr.

Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury is quite special because the Ultimate Marvel version of the character was modeled off the actor, and then the popularity of Jackson’s led to the main continuity’s being retired in favor of his son, who was also visually modeled on Jackson. Some of Fury’s backstory has already been explored in Captain Marvel, but introducing Usher as his son would allow for even more. Depending on the events of Secret Invasion, this could be possible.

Chace Crawford - Nova (Richard Rider)

Chace Crawford & Nova (Richard Rider)

Though some good things happened for Chace Crawford’s the Deep, the season naturally ended on a comedically bad note. Given his ineptitude and general cowardice, it’ll be a wonder to see if he survives next season. Crawford might find some better hope in the MCU, and, given his charm and good looks, the possibilities are plentiful. It would be particularly exciting to see him as Nova.

Richard Rider is just a man who was selected to become the next in line of the Nova Corps, being granted strong powers by his helmet. The Nova Corps was already introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy, but not the ones like Nova. Crawford could definitely capture his journey from reckless hothead to dedicated galactic defender. Perhaps there will be a surprise in the upcoming holiday special, including introducing Nova ahead of his proposed Disney+ show, Nova.

Nathan Mitchell - Bishop (Lucas Bishop)

Nathan Mitchell & Bishop

Throughout The Boys, Black Noir has been a complete and haunting mystery, yet this season fans got to learn more than ever about who lies underneath the mask. Of course, it is Nathan Mitchell under there, and he’ll still be returning for season four despite Black Noir’s death. Mitchell, like others, could also make for an interesting X-Man – specifically Bishop.

He is actually a mutant from the dystopian future who travels back in time to join the legendary X-Men. Already, that’s a story aspect that would be completely new for the MCU to contend with. Mitchell would be able to be physically imposing like Bishop naturally is, and the MCU could make his energy redirecting powers look cool. Plus, it would allow the audience to actually see Mitchell’s face.

Claudia Doumit - Black Queen (Selene)

Claudia Doumit & Black Queen (Selene)

Claudia Doumit’s already shown she’s very good at playing the secret villain, having masqueraded as a good guy during the second season of The Boys. In the MCU, she could play someone just as conniving and yet with far more history than Victoria Neuman – Selene. She is actually the oldest living mutant in the comics, her powers essentially granting immortality since she can drain other people’s life to extend her own.

This would mean she’d be an exceptionally formidable opponent for most of her fellow mutants, especially since she’s also a telekinetic, telepath, and a sorceress to boot. With Doumit at the helm, Selene would make for a fascinating antagonist for the X-Men, or even better, for the Scarlet Witch projects fans are yearning for. Her magical and dark presence would be a nice foil for Wanda.

Jensen Ackles - Quasar (Wendell Vaughn)

Jensen Ackles & Quasar (Wendell Vaughn)

Though he spent fifteen years and over three hundred episodes starring in Supernatural, Jensen Ackles found an entirely new fanbase by joining The Boys this season as Soldier Boy. Throughout the season, he showcased how good of a fit he is for this genre, and many fans would like to see him in an MCU project as soon as possible. He could also make for a fun Wolverine, but a better bet might be for him to play Wendell Vaughn, aka Quasar.

Vaughn was just a SHIELD agent, but he never had the killer instinct to really thrive in the organization. That is until he gets his hands on the Quantum Bands, which granted him immense cosmic power as befits weapons created by the cosmic being, Eon. He became known as Quasar and traveled the universe protecting it from evil. Ackles would definitely make for a great Quasar, imparting a confident strength and a good sense of humor.
