In a sea of superhero dominated entertainment, Amazon's The Boys has carved out a place for itself by challenging the idea of what a hero is. The series deviates from the traditional superheroes vs villains formula by looking at the dark underbelly of the superhero industry.
The Boys is ripe with heroes, antiheroes, and villains, but there is a character that starts season one with a bang. A-Train "the fastest f**king man alive" has a rocky beginning in season one of The Boys but it didn't stop him from having an impact on audiences. The Boys inspires fans to create some really awesome cosplay and Christianperera is one of them. His Instagram page is filled with a variety of cosplay from MCU to DCEU to Star Wars. A-Train is also part of Christianperera's wealth of cosplay, and he is definitely serving a convincing A-Train. Instagram cosplayer Cosplaybyshinobi makes his first appearance on the list with one of the funnier A-Train cosplay. Here he has recreated the scene from The Boys when A-train is unconscious in a hospital bed with a breathing apparatus over his face.
The simple yet perfect recreation of the scene from the show demonstrates Cosplaybyshinobi's passion for fandom and all things superhero. Due to the cancellation of many comic conventions last year, a lot of cosplay plans were put on hold. Thankfully Cosplaybyshinobi was still able to deliver awesome A-Train cosplay.
Putting The 'Play' In Cosplay
Posed against a brick wall Dark_lok brings the heat with his playful cosplay. Dark_lok is a cosplayer on Instagram and he brings a sense of humor to all his work. His varying cosplay doesn't stop at superheroes, they also include more surreal characters like a meme of Maui from Moana photoshopped onto the body of Dwayne the Rock Johnson. Instagram's Aussiearsenal serves up some awesome cosplay in his home studio. Aussiearsenal's excellent portrayal of A-Train shows that the influence of The Boy's knows no borders.
This cosplayer doesn't shy away from the controversial character of A-train in his great cosplay. Posed in the classic A-Train stance he captures the arrogance of the character.
Hughie Would Hate This
Rcm.designs steps up to the plate with another great cosplay of A-Train. In his simple yet effective mirror selfie, Rcm.designs shows off his accurate and somewhat humorous version of A-Train. The Instagram cosplayer doesn't shy away from the dark side of the character's story. He's opted to create an imitation blood-soaked cosplay that truly captures the pivotal moment in the character's storyline.
Compound V Strut
Not traditionally a cosplayer but still serving up a convincing A-Train is Bigbadwolfus. This Instagrammer shows off his A-Train cosplay with a video where he struts around giving off that Compound V confidence. Bigbadwolfus and fans of the franchise will be glad to know that season 3 of The Boys is underway.
Community Is Key
Fans of The Boys are a creative and devoted fandom. A great representative of the fandom is Dre_k, an Instagram cosplayer. He shared this cosplay at the 2019 New York City Comic-Con. His excellent and true to the show cosplay portrays A-train in his classic blue suit.
One of the things Dre_k shares about his experience cosplaying as A-Train is the comradery between the other cosplayers.
A Lesson in Cosplay

Despite A-Train's poor marks as a superhero on the show, there is no doubt that fans are serving up some A+ cosplay.
The Fastest Man On Instagram
Tiktok influencer and cosplayer Thejulianbass donned his blue suit and sunglasses during all the hoopla for the season 2 drop of The Boys. In addition to his excellent cosplay Thejulianbass adds an extra oomph to his content by filming and editing all of his own work. His cosplay and Tiktok account stand out for their excellent use of editing and spot-on recreation of A-train. He even edits the videos to give himself super speed just like the scandalized superhero. With such a huge interest in the character, there's room to wonder if A-train will ever become a hero on the show.
King of Cosplay
Closing out the list is a second appearance from Instagram's Cosplaybyshinobi. On every platform, the #atraincosplay is dominated by one person, Cosplaybyshinobi. In this second A-Train cosplay, he has done a fantastic job of serving up an accurate and impressive rendition. The devil is in the details with this cosplay, especially when it comes to the imitation blood and guts used to recreate one of A-train's iconic moments from the show.
