The Boys' Antony Starr becomes the new DC Universe's Flash villain Reverse-Flash in jaw-dropping fan art. Starr gives life in the superhero satire series to the show's villain, Homelander, in a performance that has been one of the high points of The Boys since its debut. Starr's award-winning performance as Homelander has inspired numerous fancasts for the actor as Marvel and DC characters, with one of the most popular roles being that of the DC villain known as Reverse-Flash, which this new fan art stunningly portrays.

Artist 21XFOUR shared on Twitter their depiction of what Starr would look like as the DC Universe Reverse-Flash.

While The Boys might never redeem Starr's Homelander, the actor has shown that he can continue to deliver gripping performances as the character throughout how many seasons the show might run. That ability to maintain interest as he shows new facets of Homelander every season is definitely something that could be harnessed by the new DC management if Starr were cast as the Reverse-Flash.

Why Antony Starr Would Be Perfect As DC’s Reverse Flash

Flash and Reverse-Flash DC Comics

Starr has delivered a solid performance as Homelander in The Boys season after season, with his turn as the villain bringing great nuance to the character, who is simply the most powerful being in the series' universe but also deeply insecure about what others think of him. At some point, Homelander will have to die in The Boys for the series to properly conclude, and even though that is likely happening in the final episode of the series, it could always happen sooner in one of the surprising twists that the show is known for.

Starr can easily do another few seasons of The Boys as Homelander before making the jump to the new DC Universe. DC is currently going through an overhaul led by DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran. The duo has their eyes set on the next 8–10 years of DC projects, some of which have been announced in a slate reveal in January. It is currently unknown which old DC movies are canon in the new DC Universe, and it's not yet clear if a version of Reverse-Flash will appear in the upcoming Flash movie or not. If so, the opportunity for Starr may simply not exist.

The Reverse-Flash is The Flash's greatest enemy, known primarily by the name Eobard Thawne. The speedster is a master of deception and the one responsible for murdering Barry Allen's mother. Starr's performance as Homelander in The Boys has shown his immense acting range, which includes some deeply unsettling and deadly moments that make him perfect for The Flash's ultimate bad guy. The DC Universe could take a page from the Arrowverse making Reverse-Flash the most important villain of The Flash show and an overarching foe to the universe's heroes. Starr's experience on The Boys makes him perfect for Reverse-Flash in a Flash movie or elsewhere in the DC Universe.
