Although Raj is one of the most underrated characters in The Big Bang Theory, many fans will agree that he does have quite a few flaws. On many occasions, Raj has seen to say or do something that potentially upsets his friends, with prime examples being how he reacted to Leonard and Priya's blossoming romance or the way he treated people when he ended up on the front cover of a magazine.
While fans have forgiven Raj for the little mistakes (especially as he would apologize soon after he offended someone), sometimes there were moments where the viewers couldn't overlook his flaws. Even to this day, these incidents have annoyed fans a lot.
Falsifying Sheldon's Data
In the final episode of season 2, the gang accompanies Sheldon to the North Pole to look for magnetic monopoles. Then, in season 3 episode 1, 'The Electric Can Opener Fluctuation,' Sheldon finds out that the signals that he collected from his data were actually the gang turning the electric can opener on and off.
Granted this was a group effort, but Raj played an equal part in the deception. As insufferable as Sheldon can be, Raj probably knew how Sheldon was going to react and partook in the lie anyway. Ultimately, their plan did backfire as Sheldon did embarrass himself professionally by submitting the data.
Called Howard And Bernadette's Baby A Jerk
In season 10 episode 12, 'The Holiday Summation,' Howard and Bernadette are having trouble stopping their newborn baby from crying and Bernadette, as any mother would, starts to doubt her qualities as both a mother and a person.
Raj does try to calm her down but insults her baby in the process by saying "Maybe your baby's just a jerk?". Considering how insecure Bernadette is, this is certainly not something to say to a new mother.
Tried To Break Up Leonard And Priya
Raj, Leonard and Priya are all professionals. However, for some reason, Raj cannot be mature about Leonard dating his sister. Whenever Priya was featured in the show, Raj spent the entire time trying to stop Leonard and Priya from spending time together.
He "forbaded" them from even speaking or being in a room alone together, and would complain all the time. Raj could certainly have been more mature and realized that Leonard and Priya really liked each other. He also shouldn't have acted as if it was the worst thing to happen in the world when he knew Leonard wouldn't hurt her.
Told Bernadette She Was Mean To Her Face
In 'The Dependence Transcendence," Raj and Bernadette are getting the house ready for the new baby, but it doesn't take long for Bernadette to lose her temper with Raj.
When Bernadette tries to blame it on the hormones, Raj simply says "I thought you were mean before you were pregnant." Definitely not a smart or nice thing to say to a new mother or a friend.
Had A Crush On Bernadette
Raj's fantasies about Bernadette began in 'The Thespian Catalyst,' where audiences saw Raj fantasize about Howard moving to India, and asking Raj to take care of her while he was away. Later, Raj fantasizes about Howard dying after being hit by a truck and asking him to, again, take care of Bernadette. Not to mention the poems he also wrote.

As one of Howard's closest friends, it's shocking that Raj would love the idea of Howard and Bernadette breaking up, or even Howard dying so he could have her all to himself.
Made Everyone Believe He Slept With Penny
At the end of season 4, Penny and Raj find themselves in bed together, and from here, Raj sees an opportunity. He decides to make the whole gang, including Penny, believe that they slept together.
Normally, if someone slept with a person that their friend was madly in love with, they would do their best to calm their friend down and break it to them gently. Not only does Raj make Leonard aware that they slept together when they didn't, but he doesn't even tell Penny what really happened, making her feel very embarrassed for no reason.
When He Became Obnoxious For Being In People Magazine
Raj has had many great career achievements, and one of them in the early days of the show was his discovery of a new object in outer space. As a result, Raj gets a feature in People Magazine and very quickly becomes obnoxious after the 'fame' goes to his head ("The Griffin Equivelancy").
As he boasts about his photoshoot, his new assistant, and is also rude to Penny, fans were not pleased with how Raj reacted to his accomplishment.
Lied About Issabella's Job
In 'The Brain Bowl Incubation,' Raj meets Issabella, the cleaner at his office, and the two start dating. However, Raj is embarrassed to say that she is a cleaner, so lies to the group and says that she is an astronomer.
If Raj was serious about their relationship he wouldn't be ashamed of her job. So it isn't exactly surprising that Issabella reacts badly when she finds out.
