Warning! Spoilers for Justice League Incarnate #2 by DC Comics

DC Comics most terrifying villain just got a new variant, as The Batwoman Who Laughs was just revealed. In Justice League Incarnate #2, a crack in the Multiverse ends up attracting servants of the Great Darkness, including The Batwoman Who Laughs, who makes a fiery entrance against some of the greatest heroes of the DC Universe. The villain is an Earth-11 version of a hero gone mad.

The Batman Who Laughs is a twisted version of Bruce Wayne from Earth-22, who embraced his dark side after being infected with Joker Toxin. After killing the Joker, he was exposed to the toxin and was corrupted, transforming him into the villain. He would find different twisted versions of Batman from across the Dark Multiverse to help him try to take over the DC's Multiverse. He nearly succeeded in his mission, but his first takeover attempt ultimately failed. The Batman Who Laughs later almost conquered the DC Universe in the events of Dark Nights: Death Metal - but was defeated right before completing his goal. The Batman Who Laughs made the jump from the DC Universe to the Fortnite universe, where he's currently playing a crucial part in the video game crossover by DC Comics.

In Justice League Incarnate #2 by Joshua Williamson, Dennis Culver, Kyle Hotz, Andrei Bressan, Paul Pelletier, Norm Rapmund, Hi-Fi, and Tom Napolitano, the superteam finds themselves on the edge of the Multiverse. As they attempt to seal a crack in the Multiverse, Doctor Multiverse detects the crack is attracting other servants of the Great Darkness, as The Batwoman Who Laughs emerges.

The Batwoman Who Laughs isn't from the Dark Multiverse. Instead, the villain originates from Earth-11. In that reality, Kathy Kane became Batwoman, but like The Batman Who Laughs, after killing her version of the Joker, she was driven mad by a toxin that transformed her into the villain. The Batwoman Who Laughs wields her own gauntlet and uses it to take on the greatest heroes in the Multiverse. In the end, the Justice League Incarnate is forced to activate a failsafe that sends its members across the Multiverse after the Batwoman Who Laughs and Darkseid's forces get too close to accessing Harbinger and the House of Heroes.

The Batwoman Who Laughs is a terrifying new villain who is a variant of one of the most twisted versions of Batwoman from across the Multiverse. While the Justice League Incarnate might have been sent away from her after activating the failsafe to prevent Darkseid and his minions from stealing more important information, it's unlikely it's the last the superteam will see of The Batwoman Who Laughs.
