Robert Pattinson's Batman voice can be heard fully in The Batman trailer that released during DC FanDome 2021, but what does Batman say exactly when he shouts at Riddler? The third actor to portray Batman on the big screen this century, Pattinson went from being a peculiar choice for the character to being highly-anticipated now that even more footage from Matt Reeves' film has released. But there's still a lot that's unknown about The Batman's story.

At the start of The Batman trailer, Jim Gordon and Gotham PD capture Riddler - evidenced by the side profile of Paul Dano and the question mark his character left in a green coffee cup - who apparently has been trying to get the attention of either Bruce Wayne or Batman, or both. And as has usually been the case with most DC villains in Gotham City, there's little that Riddler isn't willing to do to get Batman's attention - and he finally gets it at one point.

About one minute into The Batman trailer, Batman seemingly visits Riddler in what looks like Arkham Hospital, with Riddler chained up and behind the glass. It's during that scene that Batman shouts at Riddler and hits the glass. While his voice is somewhat garbled because of the obvious Batman voice and because he's on the other side of the glass, Batman seems to be saying, "What have you done?" Presumably, this scene could take place either in the middle or towards the end of the film, perhaps as one of Riddler's plans begins unfolding.

Robert Pattinson as The Batman

Judging by the various scenes of Riddler in The Batman trailer as well as Riddler saying to Batman, "I've been trying to reach you," it seems this film's take on the character will be markedly different than what casual fans might expect. Although an iconic villain in his own right, Riddler isn't often seen on-screen, especially not the big screen. Jim Carrey's maniacal version was befit for the 1990s, but Dano's Riddler appears to be much more calculated and in control, despite him being behind bars.

As for Batman's voice itself, audiences already got a tease of it during the first trailer for The Batman that released in summer 2020, in which Batman says he's "vengeance." In the second trailer for The Batman, Pattinson unleashes some more and viewers get a full look at who this Dark Knight really is. Of course, he wouldn't be Batman if parts of his dialogue couldn't be understood; it's a problem that has plagued virtually every Batman who's appeared on-screen - in film and TV. But this particular scene could be chalked up to Pattinson's Batman being behind a glass and shouting, not talking.
