Though the timeliness of its release may come as a surprise to many, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see see Joker appear in The Batman deleted scene. Prior to the film's theatrical debut, Reeves teased Keoghan had a "really cool" scene cut from the film and said it was likely it would be released "after the movie comes out." However, the director also didn't indicate why The Batman deleted scene was left out of the final cut or a timeline for when it would be released, though now that it has arrived, audiences no longer have to wait with bated breath to get more footage of Keoghan's Joker.

The Batman deleted scene may not give a crystal clear look at Keoghan's Joker's face in full, it gives plenty of exciting glimpses at his horrific smile, which Reeves says the villain has had since birth, and a very scarred head and patchy head of hair. It also established Keoghan as a terrifying force of evil as the universe's Joker, even if Reeves is unsure who will be the central villain for the in-development The Batman 2 or when he will resurface in the new franchise. Audiences can see the rest of Keoghan's Joker footage with The Batman currently in theaters and slated to hit HBO Max on April 19.
