Before Tayshia Adams was rumored to be The Bachelorette, she was married to long time boyfriend, now ex-husband, Josh Bourelle. The couple were married for about a year before they decided to divorce.

Fans were first introduced to Tayshia when she competed for Colton Underwood's heart on his season of The Bachelor. She made it all the way to top four, until Colton decided Cassie Randolph was the one he wanted to be with. Tayshia later appeared on Bachelor in Paradise where she and John Paul Jones made a connection, but broke up before the final rose ceremony. They tried to make things work after, but the couple just weren't the right fit.

The outlet Us Weekly revealed some interesting facts about Tayshia's ex-husband, Josh Bourelle. The reality star mentioned her ex while on Colton's season, but she didn't go into too much detail about their past relationship. The couple got married in February of 2015 and Bourelle filed for divorce from Tayshia in October 2017. The divorce did not drag on as the case was finalized a month later. Not too long after that she started dating model Chase Olswang up until she went on The Bachelor in September of 2018. Tayshia had felt a lot of pressure to make her marriage work since her parents are in such a loving relationship, but in the end she knew it just wasn't right for her. Now that Tayshia is in the spotlight, some information about Bourelle is now in the public eye.

Tayshia revealed on The Bachelor that Bourelle was her first boyfriend. The two were together for a total of six years—they dated for four years in college and married for just under two years. He proposed to Tayshia after graduation and later got married in 2015. Between the time that they were engaged the couple did break up for about three weeks. Another interesting fact is that her ex is a licensed roofing contractor through the Contractors State License Board, according to his LinkedIn profile. On top of that, Bourelle also owns his own roofing business. According to his Instagram bio, he is listed as the co-owner of D&J Roofing Inc., residential and commercial roofing company from in Southern California.

Tayshia also appeared on a episode of the Viall Files podcast with Nick Viall, where she opened up about being in a long distance relationship with her ex during college. On that same podcast, Tayshia revealed she actually wasn't the one who wanted the divorce. "I was in it for the long haul. I mean, I’m well aware that relationships have their hardships...It’s a thing you need to continuously work on. I know you gotta try as hard as you can, and that’s what I did." Since Bourelle was the one to file for divorce it's pretty clear he was the one who wanted to end the relationship. Even though Tayshia's first marriage didn't work out, hopefully whoever she ends up with on her season of The Bachelorette is her person!
