Melissa Rycroft, who appeared on Jason Mesnick's season of The Bachelor, opened up about her thoughts on the longevity of the relationship between former Bachelorette Clare Crawley and Dale Moss.

During Melissa's time on the reality series, she was head over heels in love with Jason Mesnick. It seemed he felt those feelings in return, as he got down on one knee and proposed to her at the end. On the After The Final Rose after show, Jason admitted to Melissa that he no longer felt they should be together, as he still had feelings for his runner-up, Molly. The two proceeded to break up, leaving Melissa heartbroken. Not too long after her split from Jason, she got back together with a former flame, and the two are now happily married with three children.

The Bachelor alum sat down with Us Weekly recently, were she opened up about her thoughts on Clare and Dale's quick engagement. “This is going to sound really negative. I don’t think they’re going to last ’cause I don’t think they have the foundation, you know?” She revealed to the publication. “We haven’t seen the deep intimate talks and … there is a big difference between a 39-year-old woman and a 31-year-old guy.” Melissa does have a point. Clare is ready to begin her life as a wife and mother, while Dale is willing to wait a few more years to be a father and husband. "He may also kind of get a taste of what Bachelor Nation can do to somebody and then say, ‘You know what? I don’t want to be tied down right now and I want to experience all of this,'” she added. For Clare's sake, the mother of three hopes everything works out in Clare's favor, but she cannot help but think the relationship is doomed to fail.

After Clare and Dale left the resort in Palms Springs to explore their relationship outside of the show, Chris Harrison wanted to have a sit down interview with them to see how the relationship has been going. One of the main questions Chris and fans have been wondering is if Clare and Dale exchanged DM's before meeting on the show. The couple denied the claims and insisted they just had a really strong connection from the start. While this may be true, Melissa thinks there is more to the story. "I think I’m convinced that she stalked him online [and] fell in love with him online because she said that she did,” the mother of three revealed. “I think that’s what happened is she created a fantasy in her head. … That’s why I think every time we see Dale...He looks totally shell-shocked every time that you see him.” Clare did admit to seeing Dale's social media profiles and instantly feeling a connection to him before their first real-life meeting. While the couple may not have spoken before the show, Clare did have her eye on Dale from before they began filming.

Melissa does not believe Clare and Dale have what it takes to go the distance in their relationship. Hopefully, they can prove her wrong and have a successful Bachelorette love story.
