The Bachelorette star Josh Murray and his friends were involved in a car crash during their Fourth of July celebrations this past weekend. Murray talked about how he and a few friends were hit by a drunk driver, and took to social media to let fans know about the experience.

Josh Murray can be remembered for appearing on The Bachelorette season 10, which ended in his engagement to Andi Dorfman in 2014. Alas, the two split in 2015, which led to Murray's subsequent appearance on Bachelor In Paradise season 3. On BIP, Murray left engaged to Amanda Stanton. However, they also split eventually after the show aired. The 36-year-old was previously played for The Brewers, a minor league baseball team in the early 2000s.

As reported by E!The Bachelorette star Josh Murray took to Instagram to explain his recent absence from social media. This was due to a traumatic experience he had after watching fireworks on the Fourth of July weekend with some friends. Though Josh did not share too many details of the crash, he did say he was “fine physically for the most part.” He then went on to say, “One of my buds got hurt bad but thankfully will recover after many surgeries.” Overall, Josh clearly stated the severity of the situation and the concern he had for those involved, explaining that this kept him off of Instagram for a few days. Thankfully, he also made it evident that everyone involved is okay, and that he hopes all of his followers did get to enjoy the Fourth of July celebrations.

During Josh Murray's time within The Bachelor franchise, he believe that there was a lot of negativity surrounding his TV appearances on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise. He hoped to move on from the franchise and the part it played in defining his public persona and personality. Andi Dorfman has very little positive to say about their time together, which probably contributed to the portrayal of him as someone who's had two failed engagements coming out of The Bachelor shows.

Even though Josh Murray didn't give many details - nor are there many floating around - he and those involved thankfully seem to be in the best shape possible for what happened. Hopefully, in the future, he can look toward moving away from his association with the Bachelor Nation franchise and the relationships he formed on Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelorette.
