Matt James has returned to Instagram after a brief hiatus, but he has now erased any mention of The Bachelor from his profile's bio. It wasn't easy for Matt to go through his season of The Bachelor, which featured quite a lot of bullying and a very problematic winner. To make matters even worse, Matt wasn't used to the reality TV world, which made his first foray into the genre very hard. Alas, he did his best to play the part while the season was still airing on television.

After everything was said and done and the After The Final Rose special aired on ABC, Matt James confirmed that he had broken up with Rachael Kirkconnell following the very problematic things that he saw come to the surface as the season went on. However, Matt's season 25 woes didn't end there, as he felt compelled to leave social media for a while to process everything that he had just gone through. He shared a few cryptic posts on Twitter and Instagram, and effectively left social media for some time.

Now, Matt James is finally back to Instagram, but his profile definitely doesn't look the same anymore. Specifically, Matt's IG bio is no longer including any mention of The Bachelor. The bio now only includes the organizations that Matt works in/supports, as well as the word "believer." It is clear that the season 25 lead is trying to distance himself from the show, and it is not entirely surprising that things have taken such a turn after everything he's had to deal with in his personal life.

While it is true that Matt James' season of The Bachelor is enacting positive change and is shaping up the future of the series to be much more diverse and less exclusive, there has been a lot of hurt involved during this process. The casting of Matt James as a lead was meant to usher in a new era for the show, but his season quickly took a very unfortunate turn due to the women who were cast in this cycle.

One can be hopeful that all of these recent events will turn The Bachelor into a much better show. However, much of this change comes at the expense of Matt James' happiness, which is not exactly what Matt or the fans hoped for going into this season.
