The worldwide sensation that is The Bachelor never shorts fans on the drama that goes on throughout the season. Villains emerge to show their true colors and fan favorites get shockingly sent home. Audiences yell at their televisions to send these mean contestants out, but they just have to sit back and watch.

Bachelor Nation feeds off of the climactic energy the show brings to their living rooms, but some The Bachelor winners didn't deserve that final rose. While the overall seasons were great and satisfying, the viewers couldn't understand how Bachelors chose these women, which caused many fans to change their minds about the couples.

Season 2, Helene Eksterowicz

The main reason that The Bachelor season 2 was considered to be great was that it ended with the first proposal acceptance between Aaron Buerge and Helene Eksterowicz. However, Aaron is also remembered as unmemorable and boring.

Another wasted Neil Lane ring, Aaron and Helene broke off their engagement just five weeks after The Bachelor finale. This breakup was brutal, putting a dent in the barely-new fan base's hopes for the show's process turning into real love.

Season 3, Jen Schefft

Not only did Jen Schefft's brief engagement to season 3 The Bachelor Andrew Firestone disappoint viewers to yet another failed attempt at love, but she also ended up pulling a Brad Womack on her season as The Bachelorette by rejecting both Jerry Ferris and John Paul Merritt in the season 3 finale.

The season had the potential for a real fairytale romance with Andrew's status as the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company heir, and he stood to give his final choice the life of luxury, but Bachelor Nation's hopes shattered when he reluctantly chose Jen. Evident from her The Bachelorette run, Jen was obviously not cut out for the show.

Season 4, Estella Gardinier

Bob Guiney quickly became a Bachelor Nation fan-favorite for his boy next door personality and someone viewers could connect to in contrast to the modelesque rich guys from the previous seasons. Bob gave his final rose to Estella Gardinier and shocked fans further by giving her a promise ring in lieu of a proposal.

Estella is another winner of one of the shortest-lived The Bachelor engagements, with Bob dumping her over the phone just a month after the show ended. She ended up blaming the breakup solely on him saying that his personality had deceived her, which seems not completely true with the proverbial two-way street of relationships.

Season 5, Jessica Bowlin

Jesse Palmer's The Bachelor season was the most dramatic season yet (at the time), which made it another great watch for Bachelor Nation fans. Jesse made his way through the 24 women vying for his heart and gave his final rose to Jessica Bowlin. However, there was no happily ever after.

Jesse revealed years later that the reason their relationship ultimately didn't work out was that when he offered to help Jessica move out to his New York home, she declined. This is an aspect that fans felt should have been discussed during filming without wasting their time.

Season 11, DeAnna Pappas & Jenni Croft

Brad toasts with DeAnna and Jenni in The Bachelor

Technically, season 11 didn't have one specific winner after Brad Womack broke both DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft's hearts in the finale, but it's a must-watch season of The Bachelor. Some viewers rooted for Brad while others weren't as fond of him, but he definitely made great television.

Just the lack of an actual winner made this is a great season with plenty of drama, but still, no one getting the final rose was anti-climactic for audiences. However, this wasn't the last Bachelor Nation would see of Brad Womack.

Season 13, Melissa Rycroft

Jason Mesnick holds Melissa Rycroft's hands on The Bachelor

Jason Mesnick's The Bachelor debut was one that fans were super excited for, and they hoped the single father would find his person after previously being dumped by DeAnna Pappas on The Bachelorette. Viewers felt confident Jason had found his happiness with Molly Malaney but were then shocked when he sent her home.

Jason managed to pull himself together and chose Melissa Rycroft in the end, much to the frustration of Bachelor Nation. However, there ended up being a light at the end of the tunnel of love when Jason ultimately dumped Melissa for Molly, whom he then married.

Season 14, Vienna Girardi

Jake Pavelka proposes to Vienna Girardi in The Bachelor

Jake Pavelka's run as The Bachelor made for incredibly entertaining television, especially when he gave his final rose to Vienna Girardi, the season 14 villain. Fans were furious and social media erupted with jabs at Jake and his poor judgment.

Vienna's volatility became even more apparent on a special ABC segment that brought the two now-nemeses together in what turned into one of the biggest fights in Bachelor Nation history. Jake accused Vienna of cheating and things got so heated that the network had to issue a statement before the special aired. The season 14 final rose definitely went to waste.

Season 15, Emily Maynard

Brad proposing to Emily on The Bachelor

Fortunately for some, unfortunately for others, Brad Womack made a return as The Bachelor for season 15. Viewers definitely took Brad's second shot at love with a grain of salt after the double rejection in season 11, but he seemed confident in choosing Emily Maynard as the season's winner.

However, it was later revealed that the engagement ended because Emily ultimately wasn't ready for marriage. Because the whole point of the show is finding a partner who is specifically ready for that plunge, she seemed like a waste of a rose.

Season 16, Courtney Robertson

Ben proposes to Courtney in The Bachelor

Courtney Robertson appeared on Ben Flajnik's season of The Bachelor and did not make a good impression. Her skinny dipping scene has gone down in Bachelor Nation history, but that didn't make fans forget Courtney's cackle while talking smack about the other women.

After Ben's cringe-worthy rejection by Ashley Hebert on season 7 of The Bachelorette, the winemaker got his chance to find his forever love. However, he chose Courtney who was an obvious mean girl and whose brutal sarcasm didn't go unnoticed by viewers. Not surprisingly, Ben and Courtney didn't make it down the aisle.

Season 19, Nikki Ferrell

Juan Pablo Galvais made a splash in Bachelor Nation and, while his season as a whole was great, he left a bad taste in the mouths of viewers with his callous attitude when he dumped Clare Crawley on The Bachelor finale.

Further poking to proverbial bear of an audience, Juan Pablo gave his final rose to Nikki Ferrell, Clare's nemesis of the season. The two women still remain adamant that they will never be friends, but Clare dodged a bullet when Nikki and Juan Pablo split post-engagement.
