An Us Weekly report reveals Cassie Randolph filed a restraining order against Colton Underwood on Friday. The pair announced their breakup in May.

Cassie and Colton had been dating for a little over a year, following Colton's season of The Bachelor in 2019. Cassie wanted to quit once she reached the final three, and Colton, sensing he already knew he wanted to be with her, jumped a fence out of frustration after she left. After nearly quitting the show, Colton returned, determined to win Cassie's heart. He subsequently ended things with Tayshia Adams and Hannah Godwin and asked for another chance from Cassie. She said yes and the two started dating. There was no engagement at the end of the show. The narrative was told as a never-give-up kind of love story, though there are many instances of men taking it too far upon being broken up with by the woman they love and not leaving that woman alone. Colton clearly did not want to let Cassie go then, and it's possible that may be the case now.

According to Us Weekly, court records have indicated that Cassie has issued a restraining order against Colton. TMZ also reported the news, and added that the court report said Colton placed a tracking device on her car bumper. This comes as a surprise, considering both have stated publicly that they remain friends, despite ending their relationship. Cassie appeared on a recent episode of The Bachelor - Greatest Seasons Ever!, where she was told she would be talking about Trista Sutter's season of The Bachelorette.

Instead, she was peppered with questions from Chris Harrison about where she stands with Colton and what prompted their breakup. She spoke out once the episode was released about how they edited out all the things she didn't want to talk about and kept in the conversation about Colton. Cassie has been adamant that she wants to keep her and Colton's relationship and the details surrounding their breakup private. As she is likely learning, that is difficult to do after appearing on The Bachelor.

There is certainly more to this story, but Cassie also deserves to be given the privacy she desires as she moves forward without Colton. It would be inappropriate to speculate further on the matter, as it's not yet evident why the restraining order may have been filed.
