'The Avengers' Trailer Preview: Tony Stark Likes Making Hulk Mad

There will be a new trailer for Marvel's The Avengers online in mere hours - but until then, Entertainment Tonight has a titillating bit of footage from the new trailer to tease us with - along with some exclusive face-time with the Avengers cast.

So, if you want to hear Chris Hemsworth put on his Thor voice, or franchise newcomer Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/The Hulk) giggle about how Robert Downey teased him as Tony Stark, then you've come to the right place.

Starring alongside Downey, Hemsworth and Ruffalo in The Avengers are Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as expert marksman Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson back as Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. The first Avengers trailer showed us that the Marvel heroes will unite to take on Thor's brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), but there's been much confusion and speculation about the army Loki raises to do battle for him. The Avengers super bowl trailer then gave us a first look at the extraterrestrial foes, but this new trailer has the challenging task of dropping all the mystery and just wowing audiences with something truly epic.

Until that moment comes, check out ET's coverage for a taste of the new Avengers trailer:

There's a lot of stuff to geek over in what footage was displayed - but at this point, as we edge closer to the new spring starting line of blockbuster season, I think we're all ready to have our socks collectively knocked off by some awesome, finished, polished, Marvel superhero action. 'Nuff said.

Be on the lookout for the official new Avengers trailer right here on Screen Rant!

The Avengers will be in 2D and 3D theaters on May 4, 2012
