Ever since The 100 wrapped up its final season, there's been a lot of questions surrounding the prequel. But The CW has recently confirmed that it is still in development, despite the rumors that the show is dead. The prequel is set 97 before its predecessor and will take place during the beginning of the nuclear apocalypse that destroyed Earth.

Whether or not it will be a success is up in the air, as most fans found themselves drawn to the characters and relationships in The 100 and not just the plot. But these relationships were often stormy and sometimes downright hostile, and even the strongest ones were put to the test.

Raven And Clarke

Raven and Clarke in a cave on an ice planet in The 100

Clarke and Raven didn't get off to a good start. Shortly after coming down, Raven realizes that Clarke had slept with her boyfriend, Finn. However, Clarke was unaware that Raven even existed, and they eventually put aside their differences and became friends.

Their friendship was beloved by fans, but things took a turn. Raven begins to question Clarke's allegiances after she returns from space, and their relationship begins to feel more hostile. There was never any way to predict what was next for them because of all their ups and downs.

Octavia And Bellamy

Octavia and Bellamy arguing In The 100

Bellamy would move heaven and Earth to protect his sister, and he devoted his life to raising her. He was, essentially, a father to her, and Octavia loved her brother more than anyone. But things immediately go downhill when Octavia blames Bellamy for her boyfriend's death and she even beats him until he's bloodied.

Their relationship never went back to what it once was, and after she became Blood Reina, Bellamy refused to call Octavia family. Things were just starting to look up for them, but Bellamy was killed a few episodes before the series finale.

Kane And Jaha

Monty, Jaha, and Kane in The 100.

Kane and Jaha had a stormy relationship from the start. They completely disagreed about how to lead their people, and they couldn't hide their dislike for each other.

When Jaha sacrifices himself so his people can make it to the ground, Kane has a newfound respect for him. However, Jaha ends up on Earth, and his friendship with Kane becomes rocky again. They have two completely different belief systems, which continued to put them at odds.

Bellamy And Clarke

Bellamy and Clarke fight in The 100.

Bellamy and Clarke's relationship was one that didn't make much sense in the end. The show went out of its way to emphasize the unconditional love between them, and yet they betrayed each other on several occasions. It doesn't get much more unpredictable than "Bellarke," but they seemed as if they were finally about to find solace with each other near the end of the series.

Yet Bellamy ends up brainwashed, and Clarke shoots and kills him in an attempt to protect Madi. The fact that Bellamy turns out to be right and died for no reason was the final blow to fans who had been patiently waiting for their romance.

Jasper And Monty

Monty and Jasper in The 100

Jasper and Monty were best friends before they came to Earth, and they were an inseparable duo. They were each other's rock for the first couple of seasons, but things got hard when tragedy began to break Jasper down. Everyone on the ground led horrific lives that became more about surviving than living.

Jackson didn't want to stick around any longer, and he became reckless and uncaring, even towards his best friends. But Monty is there for Jasper in his final moments, and him holding Jasper as he dies is still heartbreaking.

Clarke And Abby

Abby and Clarke Griffin in The 100.

Clarke's relationship with her mother was anything but normal. After Clarke finds out that her mom is the reason her father was floated, she's wants nothing to do with her. But Clarke was down to one parent, and if she pushed Abby away, she would have none.

Abby does everything she can to earn back Clarke's trust, and their relationship improves over time. Clarke comes around to realizing that it's difficult to be the good guy when trying to survive in such a horrific world.

Finn And Bellamy

Finn and Bellamy in The 100.

Bellamy and Finn butt heads from the moment they met. Bellamy was all about standing up and fighting the grounders, while Finn wanted to broker peace. Eventually, Clarke begins to trust Bellamy, which only infuriates Finn more.

They switch places in Season 2 of the show when Finn massacres a village trying to find Clarke, and Bellamy undergoes major character development. But, Bellamy is still there for Finn when the grounders want to take their revenge, and even risks his life to protect him.

Clarke And Lexa

Clarke and Lexa preparing for war in The 100 Season 2

Clarke and Lexa went from enemies to lovers, back to enemies, and back to lovers again. They only knew each other for a short time, but their relationship was extremely complex. Lexa forces Clarke to kill Finn in order to save him from torture, so Clarke wasn't Lexa's biggest fan. But they begin to bond over the burden of leadership and share a kiss before they march to Mount Weather to save their people.

Lexa makes a deal to get the grounders out and leaves Clarke behind to die alongside her friends. Lexa eventually has Clarke kidnapped and brought to her, and Clarke attempts to kill her for her betrayal. But things warm up between them again, and they have a romance before Lexa is killed.

Bellamy And Murphy

Bellamy and Murphy in The 100.

There was a time, although brief, in which Murphy was Bellamy's devoted follower. But it all starts to go downhill when Bellamy believes Murphy is responsible for Wells' death and hangs him. Murphy is saved just in time, but he and Bellamy become enemies.

Murphy and Bellamy both undergo incredible character transformations, and it helps them bury the hatchet. They spend a surprising amount of time in a good place, but it didn't seem unlikely for them to turn on each other if the situation called for it.

Octavia And Clarke

Clarke and Octavia in The 100.

Octavia and Clarke were close during Season 1 of The 100, but nothing good ever seems to last. The animosity appears to begin when Octavia notices her brother's devotion to Clarke, as it often led him to making dangerous choices.

When Clarke lets a bomb drop on TonDC, the village Octavia and plenty of others were in, things get even worse between them. They spend the entire series going from enemies to allies, and Octavia even attempts to kill Clarke during her reign as the Red Queen.
