That '70s Show season 2 had a largely unnoticed connection to the James Bond film series. The Fox sitcom was known for featuring surprise guests made popular in the 1970s, the decade in which the series highlighted. The show, which ran from 1998 to 2006, didn't share much in common with the James Bond franchise, but there was one aspect that the titles shared.

The James Bond series was first created in 1953 by author Ian Fleming. After various novels, the titular character who served as a British Secret Service agent under the alias "007" went on to be the focus on numerous TV shows, video games, and most importantly, feature films. The first James Bond movie, Dr. Nodebuted in 1962, over a decade before the setting of That '70s Show and nearly four decades before the show premiered. In total, there have been 24 films in the James Bond canonical series, and another is on the way. The actor who portrayed 007 has changed from time to time, but he has always been surrounded by women known as "Bond girls."

Tanya Roberts, who played Midge Pinciotti in That '70s Show, was best recognized for portraying Julie Rogers in the last season of Charlie's Angels. A few years after that gig, Roberts played Stacey Sutton, a Bond girl in 1985's A View to a Kill, which also served as Roger Moore's last film portraying the iconic role. Roberts wouldn't be the only Bond girl to appear in That '70s Show. In fact, season 2 of the series made an effort to include others in a wedding storyline that centered on Midge.

In the season 2 episode "The First Time," Midge and her husband, Bob Pinciotti (Don Stark), decided to renew their wedding vows by having another ceremony. In order to celebrate, the couple made it a big affair by inviting family and close friends. Midge had a number of bridesmaids, and as a nod to her James Bond past, the series featured a number of other Bond girls in her bridal party.

First, there was Holly, a character played by Maud Adams. The actress portrayed Bond girls in two different movies, including Andrea Anders in The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) and the titular character in Octopussy (1983). She also had an uncredited appearance in A View to a Kill. The character of Honor was portrayed by Kristina Wayborn, who starred as a Bond girl named Magda in Octopussy. Last but not least, there was Barbara Carrera who amusingly played Barbara in the special That '70s Show episode. Carrera played a Bond girl who turned out to be an assassin named Fatima Blush in 1983's Never Say Never Againwhich was a remake of the 1965 film, Thunderball.
