Warning! Spoilers for Silver Surfer Rebirth #3 by Marvel Comics

After being sent to a new reality, Thanos is forced to confront his daughter Nebula, deciding to make a sacrifice that's even darker than what he did with Gamora in the MCU. In Silver Surfer Rebirth #3 by Marvel Comics, Nebula attacks Thanos with an army of robots, leading the Mad Titan to snap her neck while calling her a disappointment - as he shows little remorse.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, few moments were as shocking as when Thanos sacrificed Gamora to gain the Soul Stone from Red Skull on Vormir. Watching the villain kill his daughter to gain more power was one of the most heartbreaking moments in Avengers: Endgame, as it showed the lengths the Mad Titan was willing to go to achieve his ultimate goal and gain power. Now, Thanos finds himself in a similar situation, only this time, he's facing off against his other daughter, Nebula. However, unlike with Gamora in the MCU, he has no problem ending her life to accomplish his goals.

In Silver Surfer Rebirth #3 by Ron Marz, Ron Lim, Don Ho, Israel Silva, and VC's Joe Sabino, Thanos and Silver Surfer end up in two different realities thanks to the mysterious wielder of the Reality Stone. Thanos ends up in a dystopian world where Nebula has become a conqueror, as she offers him the chance to join him. After being rejected, Nebula sends her robot army after Thanos, but her father quickly destroys them. Then, Nebula attacks, but Thanos grabs his daughter by the throat and snaps her neck.

Thanos Kills Nebula

When Mistress Death arrives following Nebula's demise, Thanos claims to have made the sacrifice in her name. He tells her that Nebula was a tribute and his "gift" for her. However, as Thanos pleads with Death that he will do anything to please her, he gets sucked into the darkness surrounding her. It seems Reality Stone shenanigans - in sort of a reversal of the situation leading to Gamora's death in the MCU - have Thanos confronting one of his greatest nightmares.

Thanos being manipulated by the Reality Stone forced him to sacrifice Nebula in another reality. However, unlike when he did the same with Gamora in the MCU under a much more pressure-filled situation involving an Infinity Stone, the Mad Titan showed little problem with killing his daughter to continue his mission. It makes for a significantly darker moment as Thanos snaps Nebula's neck with little thought or care, showing, once again, which daughter he prefers, as he shows next to zero remorse for his latest action.
