Warning! Spoilers for Savage Avengers #24 by Marvel Comics below

While Thanos might be widely considered the most terrifying villain in the Marvel Universe, Doctor Strange just learned Kulan Gath is even deadlier. In Savage Avengers #24, Kulan Gath shockingly defeats the Avengers and brutally kills most of the heroes on Earth. The Conan the Barbarian villain's destruction of the Marvel Universe makes Thanos' actions seem reasonable.

Thanos committed one of the deadliest acts in Marvel history when he used the Infinity Gauntlet to snap half of all life from existence. The Mad Titan's motivations are different in the comics than in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but his quest for balance remains the heart of his actions. Kulan Gath, meanwhile, just unleashed his own deadly attack on the Avengers and the rest of the greatest heroes of Earth. Kulan Gath not only defeated the Avengers and murdered almost all of them, but also showed he's even more terrifying than Thanos with what he does in the aftermath of winning against the superteam.

In Savage Avengers #24 by Gerry Duggan, Patch Zircher, Java Tartaglia, and Travis Lanham, readers see what would happen if the Avengers lost their final battle against Thanos. After Doctor Strange teleports the greatest heroes and villains from across the universe to take on the evil sorcerer as he uses his magic to control people and create his own army in New York City, Kulan Gath's real power is showcased. Kulan Gath mows through Marvel Heroes with ease, killing She-Hulk and biting a piece of Captain America's shield off with his teeth. The battle ends with nearly all the heroes dead, with their heads and bodies impaled with spikes.

Kulan Gath makes sure the heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe are killed in the most gruesome way imaginable, as he decapitates and impales them. Kulan Gath would rule Earth into the future, where almost every hero was dead. Conan the Barbarian, one of the few living heroes alongside Doctor Strange (who is later burned alive) and Bruce Banner, is forced to call in Kang the Conqueror to help use time travel to fix the Avengers' greatest loss.

While Thanos might have caused more widescale death, Kulan Gath's victory is far more brutal. He doesn't just kill the Avengers to restore balance but does so in the most disgusting and bloody fashion imaginable. At the moment, Doctor Strange's new nemesis and fellow sorcerer just proved he could be even more terrifying than Thanos. Unless Conan figures out a way to use Kang to reverse the damage, he'll be stuck in a reality where Kulan Gath's reign never ends.
