In addition to introducing a handful of new characters, Netflix's Texas Chainsaw Massacre features a few original faces in recast roles. Nearly 50 years after Sally Hardesty encountered Leatherface and his sadistic family in middle-of-nowhere Texas, a new group of young people wind up in a dangerous situation involving the chainsaw-wielding villain. This time, the terror takes place in Harlow, Texas, a town not too far from the location of the original massacre. Leatherface may have been able to hide for decades, but his reign of terror was never forgotten.
Following the trend of horror franchise reboots that have featured appearances by beloved Final Girl characters like Sidney Prescott in 2022's Scream and Laurie Strode in the current Halloween trilogy, it made sense to include Sally in this direct sequel to the original. Sarah Yarkin As Melody
Sarah Yarkin plays one of Texas Chainsaw Massacre's female co-leads named Melody. She's one of the successful entrepreneurs who intend to renovate the town of Harlow with the help of outside investors. Viewers might recognize Yarkin for playing Dre in Happy Death Day 2U, Libba in Motherland: Fort Salem, and Homily in Single Parents.
Elsie Fisher As Lila
Lila, Melody's younger sister in the 2022 sequel, is portrayed by Elsie Fisher. The character comes with her sister to Harlow because Melody doesn't want her to stay behind by herself after recently experiencing a previous tragic experience. Aside from voicing Agnes in the Despicable Me franchise, Fisher's most notable role was starring as Kayla Day in Bo Burnham's Eighth Grade, which earned the actress a Golden Globe nomination.
Mark Burnham As Leatherface
Mark Burnham serves as the antagonist, Leatherface, who also happens to be a horror icon ever since the character's debut in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Leatherface is the one who embarks on the various massacres with his trusty weapon of choice, a chainsaw. Recently, Burnham has worked on Ultrasound, The End of April, and Snowfall.
Olwen Fouéré As Sally Hardesty
With the return of Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre also comes Sally Hardesty, the lone survivor from the 1974 original movie. Olwen Fouéré takes over Marilyn Burns' role nearly five decades later as a woman who never stopped hunting her attacker that also killed her friends and brother. The Irish actor recently appeared in Holding, Cursed, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and Mandy, starring Nicolas Cage.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre Supporting Cast & Characters
Jacob Latimore as Dante: Dante is a very close friend of Melody's who decides to team up to transform the town of Harlow into a bustling up-and-coming town for the younger generation. Latimore is best known for playing Emmett Washington in The Chi and appearing in Detroit and The Maze Runner.
Nell Hudson as Ruth: Ruth is Dante's girlfriend and a fellow friend of Melody. Hudson previously starred in The Irregulars, Victoria, and Outlander.
Moe Dunford as Richter: As the contractor in town and the one running the local autobody shop, Richter is the main point of contact for Melody and Dante when the group visits Harlow. Dunford is best known for playing Aethelwulf in Vikings in addition to roles in Striking Out and Dublin Murders.
Alice Krige as Virginia "Ginny" McCumber: Krige's character owns the orphanage in the town of Harlow, and she has a strong connection to Leatherface. Krige has appeared in series like Carnival Row, The OA, MI-5, and Deadwood, as well as Gretel & Hansel, Silent Hill, and Thor: The Dark World.
Jessica Allain as Catherine: Catherine is a financial associate of Melody and Dante's who brings a group of investors to Harlow. Allain recently appeared in The Laundromat, Thriller, and The Honor List.
William Hope as Sheriff Hathaway: Hope plays Sheriff Hathaway, one of the lone officers keeping watch on the town of Harlow. Aside from voicing characters in Thomas & Friends, Hope has appeared in Deep State, MI-5, Captain America: The First Avenger, and James Cameron's Aliens.
John Larroquette as the Narrator: Larroquette serves as the narrator of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, reprising his role from the original movie and the 2003 remake.
