Tetris: The Movie is coming to Apple TV+. Apple's streaming service launched in November 2019 with several original TV series including The Morning Show, See, and Dickinson. The streaming platform was designed to emulate the success of industry giants like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu. While it hasn't had the same success as Disney+ which launched around the same time, it has still had some successful releases that drew viewers to the platform like Servant and Little America.

Deadline confirmed that Tetris: The Movie has fallen into place at Apple TV+. The film about the famous video game stars Taron Egerton. The film isn't about the game itself and does not have talking J-blocks and S-blocks. Rather, the film focuses on how Tetris became a powerful force in the gaming industry. Egerton plays Henk Rogers, the Dutch entrepreneur who secured the rights to distribute the game on consoles and introduced the world to Tetris. The film follows Rogers and the legal battles he fought over copyright issues on behalf of Tetris.
