Tetris answers the rarely-asked question “How did Tetris come to be?” with a surprising amount of suspense and intrigue. The captivating Apple TV+ film stars Taron Egerton as Henk Rogers, the man who secured distribution rights for the now-iconic game. With a globe-spanning story that is deeply tied into 1980s world politics, Tetris is sure to make any viewer think twice the next time they’re maneuvering slow-falling geometric shapes in the game itself.

The music for the Tetris film was composed by none other than Lorne Balfe, who is one of the most versatile, and busy, film scorers working today. Balfe’s recent work includes Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Top Gun: Maverick, for which he also helped incorporate Lady Gaga’s Top Gun song into the main theme. Balfe is also well-known for his work on the Mission: Impossible films, Amazon’s The Wheel of Time series, and Marvel’s Black Widow. Screen Rant is excited to exclusively premiere a piece from the upcoming Tetris—Score From The Apple Original Film album, featuring music written by Balfe.
