Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently hinted at an updated look for the company's Cybertruck. Musk not only teased the improved design, but also suggested that the market won't need to wait that long to see it. Tesla's Cybertruck and its unique design has already come a long way from being an internet talking point to a highly-anticipated automobile.

The Cybertruck and its unconventionally futuristic design have steadily been gaining attention ever since the prototype was revealed back in 2019. Despite the rising number of people who are starting to open up to the Cybertruck's initially awkward-looking aesthetics, it seems like its design phase is still far from being finalized, with more developments constantly being released over time. While there may still be lots of unanswered questions regarding the Cybertruck, Tesla's enigmatic CEO continues to feed interested parties on what to expect.

Musk recently took to Twitter describing the Cybertruck as a road-legal “tank from the future.” When a Twitter user asked the Tesla head when they can expect to see images of its latest redesign, Musk responded by stating “maybe in a month or so.” This prompted other users to express how much they liked the Cybertruck's original design, but Musk explained that the new design is “better” and comes with lots of “minor tweaks.” The Tesla CEO further stressed the importance of taking into consideration even the smallest details when it comes to an updated Cybertruck.

Given how Musk dabbled with the idea of shrinking down the Cybertruck's hulking size, only to change his mind shortly afterwards, shows how much change the polygonal truck is still undergoing. Musk even toyed with the notion of releasing different-sized Cybertruck variants in the future. There will undoubtedly be a lot more brainstorming involved in the final Cybertruck product, but the Tesla CEO did already reveal some juicy snippets that have likely helped to increase pre-orders.

Aside from being bullet-resistant and looking quite ready for the apocalypse, Musk also hinted at the Cybertruck having the capability of acting like an amphibious vehicle. The truck has also previously demonstrated its raw power when a video of it beating a Ford F-150 in a tug of war went viral online. Of course, it's still too early to tell how the final product will look or what other features it will have by then, but with Cybertruck not due out until 2021, there's still plenty of time for Tesla and Musk to further build anticipation with regular teases of new features.
