Terry Bogard is officially joining the Super Smash Bros Ultimate roster as its fourth DLC character. There have been rumours about an SNK character joining Nintendo's all-star fight title for a few weeks now. This chatter began after Nintendo accidentally put an SNK trademark listing on the description for the fourth downloadable character. This has since been removed, but it's evident that the cat is out of the bag. As a result, fans had a good idea of what to expect, but it was still awesome to see everything unfold.

The Nintendo Direct presentation was primed to feature a character reveal since Banjo and Kazooie are joining Smash Ultimate beginning today. Since fans have been treated to some great additions like Persona 5's Joker and Dragon Quest's Hero, there were high expectations for the final two fighters. So now the question remains if fans are content with the fourth character selection for Smash Bros Ultimate.

Terry Bogard originates from a game called Fatal Fury, but also appears as a mainstay of King of Fighters. His addition to Smash Bros Ultimate is sure to have a few people scratching their heads, as he was far from a heavily-requested fighter. Still, his moves are unique enough that he looks like a fun addition. Plus, SNK is a longstanding publisher and Terry is more or less the face of that company. Regardless, you can see the character's reveal below.

Terry Bogard will be arriving in Smash Ultimate in November 2019, although a specific date wasn't released. He'll be accompanied by a new stage and some music tracks from the games he appears in. More importantly, we learned that he won't be the second last character joining the fray. Nintendo confirmed that more DLC fighters are en route for the fight title, although it failed to confirm how many or when they'll drop.

Since Terry is arriving in November and Banjo is available now, it's likely that we won't see any more DLC until next year. That includes the fifth fighter that's included as part of the current Smash Bros Ultimate Fighter Pass. That means there's still a good chance that favourites like Geno and Crash Bandicoot can join the fray. Heck, maybe even Tracer or Master Chief can join Smash Ultimate in the near future. Whatever awaits players, it's the more the merrier as far as fans are concerned.
