At that point, she'd lost half of her initial body weight. While she was on the series, Teretha made tremendous progress, but unfortunately, she couldn't keep up with it after she left the show. Where Is Teretha From My 600-Lb Life Now?

Teretha's second meet-up with Dr. Now led him to remove swelling (lymphedema) on her leg, enabling her to walk again, as per The Cinemaholic. However, the surgery didn't end up changing her lifestyle much, as Teretha still wasn't able to walk due to the pain in her legs. Because of this, Teretha was sent to rehab, but her stay there didn't make it easier for her to walk. After a month of no results, she checked herself out and returned to her family in Detroit.

Teretha's Post-My 600-Lb Life Journey Was Marked By Ups And Downs

Teretha ultimately decided to give rehab a second chance. When she went back, she got the results that she couldn't get the first time. Teretha's second, more successful stint in rehab led to stalled progress halfway through her weight loss journey. This was caused by irregularities in her diet, exercise routine, and therapy appointments. Eventually, she used a wheelchair. Nevertheless, her condition improved with time, and based on her social media posts, it's clear that she's much slimmer.

While she appeared on My 600-lb Life, Teretha was clear about wanting to improve her life so she could spend more time with her grandchildren. Now, her wish seems to have come true because she enjoys life with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and grandkids. Although she rarely drops updates about her well-being on her social media pages, the few she has added do please her fans and well-wishers. Teretha has yet to reveal her current weight on her Facebook page, but it's obvious she's come a long way since the show.
