Teresa Giudice took her father, Giacinto Gorga, to the hospital after spending Christmas together. Viewers watched on the most recent episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey as Teresa gave her father an oxygen mask and decided to call an ambulance.
Teresa is best known as the table-flipping diva of the New Jersey housewives. The reality star rarely thought before she spoke when interacting with her fellow cast members. During the earlier seasons of the third installments of the hit franchise, Giudice would seemingly cause trouble, then try to play dumb. Recently, in 2013, both Joe and Teresa found themselves in trouble when they were indicted for filing a false bankruptcy report, trying to hide their wealth. Joe had other charges brought against him as well, also being indicted for failing to file tax returns between 2004 and 2008. While both were found guilty, it seemed to many that Teresa paid a high price and was sentenced to 15 months behind bars. While behind bars, her mother and father both became ill, and she eventually losing her mother shortly after she was released.
An unexpected trip to the emergency room left Giudice a bit overwhelmed around the holidays. According to Us Weekly, the reality star’s father, Giacinto Gorga, returned to the hospital to be treated for an unknown illness that his daughter believed could have been pneumonia. The Bravo personality took to her Instagram on January 3 to share the news with her fans and update them on her father’s condition, showing Gorga spraying on cologne as he laughed.
Gorga’s daughter teased him about wanting to smell nice for the nurses. The Instagram story ended with Giudice laughing with her father, laughing at his ability to flirt, especially under the circumstances. The grandfather of seven’s last hospital stay was about two months ago when he was hospitalized for pneumonia; Giudice was forced to leave BravoCon early, telling fans she needed to take care of her father.
Even though fans are not sure if Gorga is fighting the lung infection, he has been afflicted with many health scares in the past couple of years. The main problem for the Italian is that he constantly falls ill with mild cases of pneumonia, requiring him to use an oxygen tank. That said, being sick has not stopped Gorga completely in his tracks as he made the journey to his home country this past November to meet up with his son in law.
