A slew of new Tenet posters emphasize the action of Christopher Nolan's latest, while also delivering the promise that time runs out. Tenet remains one of the most exciting movies of 2020, even despite its many setbacks. The coronavirus pandemic has given Tenet a great deal of trouble, forcing it to be delayed multiple times. Nolan's film was initially scheduled for July, but eventually it moved to August before being briefly pulled off the release calendar. Currently, Tenet will debut overseas in 70 countries on August 26 before rolling out in select US cities on September 3. The hope is that Tenet will help revive the struggling 2020 box office after months of movie theaters being closed.

There's a great deal of anticipation surrounding Tenet, as much of the plot has been kept a secret so far. Tenet is set within the world of international espionage and follows a group of agents, led by John David Washington's Protagonist, as they try and prevent a World War III-level event. To do this, they'll use a method of time manipulation known as inversion, which is decidedly not time travel. Washington is joined by Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Himesh Patel, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Kenneth Branagh, and Michael Caine.

Like any spy movie, Tenet promises to contain some breathtaking action sequences, which will be made all the more exciting because none of them contain any green screen. Nolan has already proven to be one of the most inventive blockbuster filmmakers out there with his previous films, but Tenet looks to be on an entirely different level. These posters really put a spotlight on how intense this movie promises to be, and it's likely that fans couldn't be more excited.

The real question now is: How eager will fans be to go back to theaters for Tenet? There are signs in the UK that audiences are very excited for Tenet, with ticket sales already picking up. However, it's less clear as to how well it will do in the United States, where rising coronavirus cases remain a concern. There's definitely some real interest surrounding Tenet, but the pandemic could once again prove to be a serious obstacle. One thing is certain though: Fans will get to see Tenet. It's just a matter of when.
