The story of DC ComicsInjustice is a little different than that of DC's other properties. Injustice began in the video game world and then launched a series of comics that took place before and after the game's events.

Over the course of its two games, more than 60 DC characters have appeared in the universe. But despite the large number, there are still many other fan-favorites that players want to see enter the fray as playable characters. Who would be a great addition to the games?

John Constantine

DC's John Constantine casting a spell in battle

As one of the most powerful sorcerers in all of comics, John Constantine studied his craft since his youth. Having dabbled in dark magic, a source of power that takes as much as it gives, John is willing to cast spells that many sorcerers would deem too dangerous. However, this could be exactly what he needs to stack up against the heavy hitters of the Injustice world.

John is a master illusionist and can create astral projections of himself to use as distractions. He can strike in multiple ways, such as energy blasts, fire manipulation, power absorption, and even mind control. If those aren't enough, he is also able to summon demonic beings to assist him in battle. These would be great powers to see come to life in a video game.

Mera

DC's Mera Fighting Orm In Mera Queen Of Atlantis

The Queen of Atlantis is one of the most powerful beings in all of land and sea. Mera's Atlantean physiology already brings her immense strength, and she is a trained combatant, but it's her water manipulation abilities that make her a top-tier fighter.

She can construct anything that she imagines out of water, from giant fists to massive sea creatures. When things get desperate, she can even extract bodily fluids from her opponents to immobilize them and gain the upper hand.

Captain Atom

Captain Atom unleashing his power.

Captain Atom is a man cased inside a metal skin that can absorb and manipulate energy to an exorbitant level. He has one of the most unique skillsets out of anyone in the DC Universe.

He can stop enemy attacks by creating matter out of thin air or taking an enemy's projectile attack and turning it into something less harmful. His attacks can even become more powerful as he absorbs energy from his opponents. This hero would be one tough customer to beat if he joined in the games.

Donna Troy

Wonder-Woman-Daughter-Donna-Troy (1)

Donna Troy has proven herself to be one of the fiercest fighters out there and a true Amazon warrior.

Donna has similar strengths to Wonder Woman, such as her top-notch hand-to-hand combat training, but she fights differently with her staff, giving her more range with her physical attacks. With Diana playing an antagonist role in the Injustice series, bringing in her contemporary would be a fun wrinkle to the gameplay.

Beast Boy

Beast Boy against a green background in the comics

Through an emergency blood transfusion from a monkey, Titans' Garfield Logan underwent massive alterations inside and out. While his exterior change is obvious, it's his human physiology that was altered the most, and he gained the ability to turn into any type of animal.

Not only can Beast Boy take the form of any animal, but he gains their skillset as well, such as a cheetah's speed, a gorilla's strength, and anything else that comes to his mind. Extinct animals like dinosaurs, mythical animals like griffins, and animals from other planets are on the table for him, too, giving Beast Boy a wide range of animals to choose from depending on the fight he is in. These powers would be a lot of fun to bring to life in a game.

Plastic Man

DC's Plastic Man in sunglasses

Plastic Man is actually way more powerful than he seems. While his long-range punches and kicks are useful, he can alter his molecules to intense levels, making it possible to increase his muscles to the size of a building.

His molecular transformations are not limited to his own physical form, as Plastic Man can shapeshift into any construct he can imagine. Almost no attacks affect him with his rubber texture, allowing projectiles and fists to bounce right off of him. This would make him virtually invulnerable to the attacks of the greatest foes in the Injustice world.

Huntress

DC's Huntress with crossbow

One of the greatest martial artists on the planet, Helena Bertinelli has the tools in her arsenal to compete with anyone who gets in her way. Helena is skilled enough that she can come at her opponents with many forms of hand-to-hand combat, but she can also deploy her battle staff to gain a larger reach.

Huntress has a nice arsenal of firearms for ranged combat, but her archery skills are where she excels. She carries a crossbow and can fire off multiple shots with quick reload times and intense precision. Her combination of close combat and range skills would be a great asset in any battle.

King Shark

DC's King Shark growling fiercely

No one really knows how King Shark came to be, whether it was a genetic mutation from an experiment gone wrong or if he truly is the son of a supposed Shark God. All that anyone needs to be know about King Shark is that he is a force to be reckoned with. This warrior's savage nature really comes out in a fight, as seen when King Shark is fighting with the Suicide Squad.

When on land, King Shark can use his super strength to come at his opponent and rip through them without much effort. He has intensely sharp claws and teeth that can tear through any body part, and if blood becomes exposed, he is driven into a frenzy of bloodlust and becomes nearly unstoppable.

Star Sapphire

Star Sapphire clenches her fist with pink energy surrounding her in a DC comic.

Several different Lantern Corps. have been represented in the world of Injustice, most notably green, yellow, and red. But other colors also deserve a chance to shine, and none more so than the violet light of the Star Sapphires, with Carol Ferris leading the charge.

Carol would fight similar to the rest of the universe's Lanterns, but her constructs can be what separates her from the others. Using her Star Sapphire powers, she can create constructs out of the power of love, and in some cases, she can create a crystal cage to trap her opponents in. Having another Lantern Corps. represented, especially one that can be an ally to the heroes, would be a welcome addition.

Doctor Manhattan

DC's Doctor Manhattan looking at the sky

When the Watchmen were fully engrained into the proper lore of DC Comics, it brought one of the more powerful beings in all of comics to life in the form of Doctor Manhattan. It's almost too difficult to narrow down all of the abilities Doctor Manhattan possesses, but some do stand out.

He can replicate himself, disintegrate his foes, use telekinesis to move objects, grow to the size of a mountain in seconds, and even create matter out of nothingness, and that's just a few examples. His power is limitless, allowing him to turn the tide of any struggle in his favor.
