The USA network has finally announced the Temptation Island 3 release date, couples, and boundaries. A reality competition series where couples are put to the test as they meet various beautiful singletons in what is essentially an extended vacation, Temptation Island originally aired between 2001 and 2003 on Fox. Despite the fact that the original TI run added up to three seasons, the show had very low ratings and wasn't well-received by the critics. With that said, it should be noted that 2001 was a very different world where reality TV was in its earliest stages.
In 2019, the USA network decided to reboot Temptation Island for a modern era. The reboot was successful enough for USA to promptly renew the show for a second season, which also aired in 2019 just a few months later. The fans once again loved the series and started to wait for season 3. However, the COVID-19 pandemic complicated things, and the fate of the show became uncertain. The fans waited for any news or update concerning the third season of USA's Temptation Island throughout 2020, but the network left everyone in the dark. Now, it can finally be confirmed that Temptation Island 3 will actually happen in 2021.
According to the USA network, Temptation Island 3 will premiere on Tuesday, February 16 at 10 pm EST. The season will feature four couples: Chelsea Orcutt & Thomas Gipson, Erin Smith & Corey Sobczyk Kristen Ramos & Julian Allen, and Erica Washington & Kendal Kirkland. In turn, the season will feature 23 contestants who are single - 12 men and 11 women. While it is normal for couples to set "boundaries" for each other while they go on this journey, one couple stood out in the trailer for saying that they've agreed to have "no rules."
Just like the Love Island franchise, it took an actual reboot for producers to figure out what to do with this series and its format. USA has certainly hit the right note with this show, which can healthily co-exist with similar dating competitions such as Love Island and Too Hot To Handle, among others.
The fans are eagerly awaiting Temptation Island 3. Let's hope that it is dramatic and exciting!
