Gavin Rocker and Esonica Veira from season two of Temptation Island seemed like the most stable couple. But things took a turn when Esonica fell for Kareem Thomas, a single on the island and a former basketball player. Many couples on the island have fallen prey to temptation, and Esonica was no different. Fans of the show will remember Evan Smith and Kaci Campbell, who had one of the worst final bonfires in the history of the show. They are tied with Casey Starchak and Ashley Howland, whose final bonfire featured a failed proposal. For her final bonfire, Esonica decided to walk away from her relationship with Gavin for Kareem, but what happened after?
Gavin and Esonica were having issues in their relationship when they arrived on the island. The beauty pageant queen wanted answers about where their relationship was going and if Gavin could commit to her. The pair met in 2017 on a movie set. They dated for nearly a year and a half before appearing on Temptation Island. Gavin said their relationship was mostly fun, but he felt like Esonica was high maintenance. Esonica wanted their relationship to progress and hoped to get a ring from Gavin, but he wasn’t sure about her. Despite him taking her to Temptation Island to show her she could trust him, Esonica got her answers, and ultimately cheated on Gavin with Kareem.
During their time on the island, Esonica bonded with Kareem. They left the island together when she decided to end her relationship with Gavin, but Esonica and Kareem did not see each other until the reunion. They continued to flirt on social media for a while, but ultimately their connection fizzled out. According to Cheat Sheet, Gavin and Esonica are both single. Esonica has focused her energy on her business, Forever Royal Cosmetics. The Virgin Islands beauty is creating her empire. In addition to flaunting her own products on Instagram, Esonica has embraced life as an Instagram influencer. She regularly posts ads for various products, including Flat Tummy vitamins and Butter by Keba moisturizer. On the other hand, Gavin has also been trying his hand at acting. His film credits include Trait, which came out in 2018, and Scott Free, which is a recent film that came out in 2021. Gavin posts on Instagram less frequently than Esonica, often going weeks or months before updating his fans. His Instagram bio states that his current home base is Atlanta, Georgia, a bustling city perfect for a budding actor. Gavin doesn't seem to have pursued another relationship since his breakup with Esonica. Instead, he seems focused on himself and pursuing his goals and dreams. Previously, he posted a variety of modeling pictures on his IG, but he seems to have moved away from pursuing that job as a serious career.
Both Gavin and Esonica simply enjoying their life while pursuing their desires. They both appear to be happy and thriving, which is good to see after their tumultuous time on the show. The show is not called Temptation Island for nothing, and if your partner wants to cheat, they will. Season one single Morgan Lolar said most couples go on the show to cheat. The reality show may be entertaining, but it is not the best choice if you want to fix a broken or struggling relationship. If couples think Temptation Island is the answer to their relationship issues, they should know the success rate is low, with only Javen Butler and Shari Ligons making it work after the show.
