Notorious contestants David Benavidez and Kate Griffith chose to join the Temptation Island social experiment, and it's time to talk about what they're up to. The show is hosted by Mark L. Walberg, to see if long-term couples can fix their broken relationships by going on an island full of attractive singles. Both individuals are tempted by the dollars, and ultimately decide if their partners are their perfect matches. David and Kate were one of the four couples from Temptation Island season 2.

David and Kate had been together for three years when they came on the show. Kate, who is six years older than David (and had been married before) was ready to get married again and start a family. However, David wasn't at that point in his life. The two also had trust issues they were trying to overcome on Temptation Island, as they cheated on their previous partners. From the first episode, it seemed like Kate was more invested in the relationship than David. At a bonfire, David's threesome with two of the single women was shown to Kate, and it didn't go over well.

Temptation Island's David & Kate Broke Up

At the final bonfire, David and Kate broke up. Kate left the island alone, and David went with one of the single women, Toneata Morgan. However, David and Toneata's relationship didn't last long. What's shocking is that Kate took David back, and the pair dated for a while after the show aired. They got romantic, even after the reunion episode, where more information emerged about David's multiple hookups on the show and afterward, Kate stuck by her man. Predictably, their relationship wasn't a "forever" romance. After trying to make things work for a while, the pair realized they couldn't overcome all the negativity and obstacles that developed in their relationship.

Temptation Island's David & Kate Moved On

Eventually, David and Kate broke up for good. Since then, David has been enjoying the single life, and reconnecting with some of the guys from Temptation Island. His Instagram is private, so there's very little information about his life after the show. However, after all the backlash he received for his behavior, his decision to step away from the spotlight isn't surprising. Kate has also moved on, according to her Instagram. She's active online, and is involved with entrepreneur Anand Sukhadia. She posts photos with him often, and is very open about how happy she feels in the relationship.

In addition to her thriving love life, Kate created Spread the Love, which sells clothing and beauty items. She's also a market partner with the Monat brand, which sells hair care and wellness products. Though David and Kate ultimately did not find their happy ending on Temptation Island, they both seem to be in a better place since the show aired. While their love story was a trainwreck, they provided excellent entertainment. Hopefully, the Temptation Island season 5 couples will bring just as much drama.

Temptation Island season 5 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on USA beginning June 14.
