At its core, Teen Wolf focused on Scott McCall and his supernatural pack of friends. Over the course of six seasons, the only three pack members that remained main characters throughout the entire run were Scott, Stiles Stilinski, and Lydia Martin. Many other pack members came and went, but so did a lot of other allies and enemies.

In fact, the Teen Wolf team had a habit of introducing characters, but never fulling fleshing them out for the audience to get to know them. There were quite a few people who would pop in to help Scott and his friends with a conflict and never return. Others seemed like they would stick around, but would vanish when the next season began. As a result, there are a lot of characters the audience would have liked to spend more time with.

Satomi

Satomi and her pack gather in Teen Wolf

Satomi recurred throughout the series once Scott McCall realized there were other werewolves in Beacon County he didn’t know. One of the oldest werewolves in the show, Satomi featured in the flashbacks to World War II, and was still the Alpha of her pack in the modern day.

Satomi would have had a lot of knowledge and many stories to tell. It’s a shame that she only appeared a handful of times to team up with the McCall pack. Her history could have really expanded the mythology of the series.

Ethan

Ethan and Jackson return to Beacon Hills in Teen Wolf

Ethan and his twin brother Aiden were members of the Alpha pack who came to Beacon Hills to give Deucalion a hand. They wanted to get Derek Hale into their pack and increase their strength. That didn’t exactly go well for them, and Aiden lost his life trying to prove his loyalty to Scott. Ethan left Beacon Hills shortly after.

Though Ethan did eventually return for the end of the series, fans still didn’t get to know him well. Next to nothing is known about his life before becoming an Alpha — or his life in England after leaving Beacon Hills behind. This is another opportunity for showing just how other packs function — through Ethan’s unique experiences as a twin werewolf — and the writers never pursued it.

Ms. Morrell

Marin Morell in her office in Teen Wolf

French teacher turned guidance counselor turned Eichen House therapist, Ms. Morrell was a woman of many faces on Teen Wolf. She always said that she was interested in “maintaining the balance” of the supernatural world, but she certainly placed herself in dangerous situations, like by Deucalion’s side, to do it.

As Dr. Deaton’s sister and a druid emissary, Ms. Morrell could have been a fountain of information for Scott’s pack. Instead, she liked to speak in riddles and half-truths. We didn’t learn much about her beyond her affinity for secrets.

Erica

Fans have a love-hate relationship with Erica. The first female werewolf that looked to be on her way to becoming a series regular, Erica was simply written out as a casualty of the Alpha pack — mostly offscreen.

Erica brought a fresh energy to the series in her love for her power and her unwillingness to shy away from what she could do. She was at her most fun when working with Isaac or bantering with Stiles. It’s a shame the show didn’t explore her interests more beyond her wanting to be noticed.

The Skinwalkers

Skinwalkers-In-Teen-Wolf

Introduced as a plot device to fix Kira’s issues with her powers, the Skinwalkers were a group of shapeshifting women who wore the skins of animals and lived in the desert. They appeared to be able to literally control sections of earth, opening up the ground to swallow people whole.

Interestingly, at least some of them had a connection to Theo Raeken and his sister, as they had Kira trap him in his own personal hell. That particular connection was never explored, and no explanation was given for why they held a grudge against Theo. Kira also worried that Skinwalkers in general were bad because of the legends about him, and while her mother reminded her that the same could be said about kitsune, the audience never got to know any of the women in the group to find out for themselves.

Boyd

Boyd In Teen Wolf

Unlike his co-betas Erica and Isaac, Boyd didn’t love the thrill of his new power. He simply wanted not to be pushed around by anyone. Just like Erica, the Alpha pack ultimately took his life.

Before the Alpha pack ever came to Beacon Hills, however, the audience got a few teases at Boyd’s backstory. One of those came from dialogue during his hallucinations in “Motel California.” He rambled about his little sister going missing, which was clearly a tragic moment in his past, but the audience never found out more about it.

Braeden

Braeden and her shotgun in Teen Wolf

Braeden was supposedly a mercenary who only fought for money. Despite her ambiguous morality, she also aligned herself with — and fell for — Derek Hale, and helped Malia Tate go up against her Desert Wolf mother. Braeden wasn’t as caught up in the money as she pretended to be.

Over the course of her appearances in the show, we learned she was an incredible shot, good with supernatural creatures, and was once an actual U.S. Marshal. How she learned about supernatural creatures and what she was going to do after helping Scott and his friends is still a mystery.

The Calaveras Hunters

Araya Calaveras In Teen Wolf

The Argent family wasn’t the only group that raised their kids to hunt supernatural beings. When the Teen Wolf characters made a trip to Mexico, fans were introduced to the Calaveras family of hunters.

The Calaveras were really after Kate Argent, but their methods were very different from the Argent family. Just how many families of hunters are out there in the Teen Wolf world is unclear, but knowing that there were still large networks of people on the hunt means people like Scott and his friends were likely always going to be in danger.

Cora

Adelaide Kane as Cora Hale in Teen Wolf

Amazingly, Derek and his sister Laura weren’t the only young Hales to survive the Hale fire. Though Peter spent a lot of time in the hospital, a pre-teen Cora Hale escaped the fire and somehow made her way to South America where she joined up with a new pack.

Cora seemed poised to become a new regular on the show as someone who just wanted to reconnect with her family, but she left the series almost as quickly as she joined. Cora would have been a great entry point into exploring werewolves in other areas of the world if the show had kept her around.

Danny

Danny sits in front of Stiles in Chemistry in Teen Wolf

One of everyone’s favorite normal humans on the series, Danny vanished from Beacon Hills once he graduated. The best friend to Jackson Whittemore, Danny had to know something weird was going on when Jackson became obsessed with becoming a werewolf. Danny also dated Ethan… who ended up with Jackson in the finale. Isn’t that at least worth getting Danny’s reaction?

Danny also knew about werewolves, though he was never involved in the fights. He also knew about ley lines and telluric currents, points of supernatural research that became important to the series without him even being involved. Danny’s knowledge would have been appreciated.
