Tyler Posey may have hinted that Dylan O'Brien's Stiles Stilinski will be in Teen Wolf: The Movie. Five years since MTV's Teen Wolf ended its run, Scott McCall and his Wolf Pack are set to return to the small screen, this time through a film that will exclusively stream on Paramount+. The show ran for six years and amassed a loyal following for the Alpha Wolf, his friends, and allies as they navigate the horrors in Beacon Hills.

Jeff Davis returns to write and produce Teen Wolf: The Movie after developing the MTV series. Aside from Posey, the project has reassembled some of the most important characters from the original show, including Crystal Reed as Allison Argent, Holland Roden as Lydia Martin, Colton Haynes as Jackson Whittemore, Shelley Hennig as Malia Tate, Linden Ashby as Sheriff Noah Stilinski, Dylan Sprayberry as Liam Dunbar, and Tyler Hoechlin as Derek Hale. Unfortunately, Scott's best friend Stilinski seemingly wasn't going to be part of the endeavor, as O'Brien previously stated.

However, that may no longer be the case anymore as Posey promised fans that Teen Wolf: The Movie has “every character that you’d ever want to see again.” The actor made the announcement at the project's San Diego Comic-Con panel. He then proceeded to hype up the Paramount+ film, adding that, “the movie is everything the fans would want, it’s the entire show encapsulated in one.”

While he didn't specifically name-drop O'Brien, many were quick to assume that when Posey said "everyone," he meant including Stiles. It would be odd for Posey to make this promise in front of the SDCC crowd if he knows that Scott's best friend won't be in the revival. O'Brien previously explained his decision to sit out Teen Wolf: The Movie, saying that he felt that "they kind of just threw it at us a little bit," referring to the rushed process of casting and then filming. This turned him off, leading to his difficult choice as he admitted that he was eager to revisit Teen Wolf and reprise Stiles.

The Teen Wolf: The Movie trailer, which was also debuted in the same SDCC panel, did feature a brief flashback of Stiles to establish the character's importance in the franchise's overall narrative. His signature Jeep was also seen at one point. Aside from these, however, there was no concrete indication that Stiles will be part of this storyline. Instead, much of the build-up centers on Allison's return from the dead. In any case, Davis said that there's talk of more Teen Wolf after the film, so perhaps beyond this initial revival, they can finally coax out O'Brien, assuming that he really isn't in this one.
