Jeff Davis teases how Crystal Reed's Allison Argent will return in Teen Wolf: The Movie, despite her massive death back in season 3. One of MTV's most popular shows is making a comeback, but not with another season. Based on the comedy film franchise from the '80s, the Teen Wolf series is a dark reimagining that goes deeper into the supernatural lore compared to the Michael J. Fox movies. Starring Tyler Posey as Scott McCall, Teen Wolf follows the Beacon Hill teen after he gets bit by a werewolf and becomes one himself.

Teen Wolf ran for 6 seasons on MTV with a total of 100 episodes between 2011 to 2017. However, not even a decade has passed, and the supernatural hit is already making a comeback, this time as an exclusive movie on Paramount+. Several characters from the original series are returning for Teen Wolf: The Movie, and one in particular has raised eyebrows. One of the central characters from Teen Wolf's early episodes was Reed's Allison Argent, a masterful archer and the love of Scott's life until her sudden death in season 3. Despite her untimely end, Allison will be in Teen Wolf: The Movie, and not for flashbacks.

While details are being kept under wraps, Teen Wolf creator Davis chatted with Collider at San Diego Comic-Con this year about the film and Allison's role in it. Without revealing exactly how Reed's character returns in Teen Wolf: The Movie, Davis made it clear that this isn't a cameo and that she has a pivotal role to play in the story. Davis explained:

"It's not a cameo! She's a big part of the movie, and I think it's pretty significant seeing her walk away from the burning wreck of a car with arrows on her back. I don't want to say too much, but she has a lot of fun things to do in the movie."

Crystal Reed Allison Return Reaction Teen Wolf Movie

The only thing that is known about Teen Wolf: The Movie is that a "terrifying evil has emerged" and will see the likes of "Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, and Kitsunes" affected by it as Scott has to be the hero once more. The exact explanation for how Allison returns in Teen Wolf: The Movie is extremely unclear, and it doesn't look like anyone involved with the movie is going to be sharing those details any time soon. If this is meant to be the real Allison, something or someone must have found a way to resurrect her, hence what was seen of her in the latest trailer for Teen Wolf: The Movie.

When it comes to the Teen Wolf universe, anything is possible, but that widens the variety of ways in how Allison factors into the story. One potential option is that it is a vicious shapeshifter that has taken the form of Allison and is a villain that is personal to Scott, hence looking like his first true love. From everything that is known about Teen Wolf: The Movie, the main villain is supposed to be the deadliest opponent these characters have ever faced. What would make things even more emotionally compelling is if it's someone who has the power to look like allies that they have lost over the years, including Allison. The truth will emerge soon enough.
