Lydia Martin has an active love life in Teen Wolf and is given several potential suitors throughout the series. Yet, it takes years for her to finally find what she's been looking for. Lydia searches for the type of love Allison describes to her in the second season, as she admits it's something she's never felt before.

It can only be achieved with the right person, and the majority of Lydia's boyfriends don't treat her in the way she deserves. Lydia has one of the best character arcs in Teen Wolf and it's reflected by the type of relationship she eventually strives for. While not all of her love interests are guilty of mistreatment, some are better suited for Lydia than others.

Peter Hale

A young Peter Hale in Teen Wolf.

As much as fans wish they could forget, Peter is technically one of Lydia's love interests during Teen Wolf Season 2. Lydia is under the impression that she's conversing with a teenage boy, as Peter appears to her as his past self. He never has any real interest in Lydia and takes advantage of her banshee powers for several episodes.

There's a long list of horrible things he's done to her, including biting Lydia in the first season and leaving her to bleed out on a lacrosse field. Thankfully, nothing more than a kiss ever happens between them, but he manages to manipulate her into bringing him back from the dead. Lydia never forgets everything he put her through, and it's unjust that she's forced to ally with him in later seasons.

Jackson Whittemore

Jackson Whittemore looking concerned in Teen Wolf

Jackson might not try to kill Lydia as Peter does, but they are still one of the worst couples in Teen Wolf. To be fair, Lydia doesn't treat Jackson well either, and even cheats on him with Scott during the first season. Regardless, Jackson is the more harmful of the two and their relationship is full of toxicity. They never display a real interest in one another, making Jackson and Lydia's romance appear surface-level.

It's more for show than anything else, and Jackson spends most of his time berating his girlfriend and driving her to tears. Teen Wolf attempts to make their love seem true when Lydia is able to get through to Jackson as the kanima, but it feels cheap and undeserved. After watching the disrespectful way Lydia and Jackson treat each other for seasons, a simple flashback isn't enough to change viewers' opinions.

Jordan Parrish

Parrish is conflicted in Teen Wolf

On the surface, Parrish is easily one of the most likable characters in Teen Wolf. He isn't introduced until the latter half of the series, but his willingness to help the McCall Pack makes him an instant hit with fans. Parrish cares about Lydia and treats her with respect, and the two have plenty of adorable scenes throughout the fifth season, especially. However, when it comes to a real romance between them, there are plenty of red flags.

It's unconventional since Lydia's in high school, but she's eighteen and proves to be rather mature for her age. The off-putting part of their dynamic regards the sexual dreams Parrish continues to have about her. While it's a result of them both being harbingers of death, it doesn't portray their relationship in the best light. The dreams imply that their draw is due to their supernatural pull, rather than a real and genuine connection. Nothing officially happens between Parrish and Lydia, which ends up being for the best.

Aiden

Aiden looking onwards in Teen Wolf

Upon his initial introduction, Aiden doesn't seem as if he's genuinely vying for Lydia's heart. His morals are questionable, at best, and he and Ethan actively fight against the McCall Pack. While Aiden and Lydia are portrayed to have a purely physical relationship, it evolves into more throughout Teen Wolf Season 3.

Aiden is disheartened when Lydia ends things between them, further exemplifying that he's developed real feelings for her. His affection for Lydia inspires him to be better, and Aiden dies fighting for what's right. He chooses not to run and hide and asks to be remembered by Lydia as one of the good guys in his final moments. While their romance isn't the most impactful one on the show, it's cute while it lasts.

Stiles Stilinski

Stiles Stilinski in Teen Wolf

It comes as no surprise that Stiles is Lydia's best love interest in every regard. The two have incredible chemistry, a strong foundation of friendship, and their love story is one of Teen Wolf's main components. Stiles and Lydia's depth is incomparable to her other romances, given the time and effort put into molding their relationship. They know each other better than anyone else and their love is based on an emotional connection before a physical one.

It takes Stiles and Lydia years to fully acknowledge what's developed between them, but once they do, there's no mistaking it. The couple saves each other in every way, and Lydia's love for Stiles proves powerful enough to transcend dimensions. After being mistreated so many times in the past, ending up with someone who loves her as much as Stiles does is Lydia's perfect ending.
