Expect Plenty of Deaths in Teen Wolf's Final Episodes

Tyler Posey in Teen Wolf

Teen Wolf's Linden Ashby has issued a warning regarding the many deaths that fans may have to endure in the remaining episodes of the MTV series. The supernatural drama series is set to wrap up its six-year run this year with only 10 episodes left, dealing with a self-contained story-arc that will introduce fans to a new villain.

The show's midseason finale left Beacon Hills peaceful with Mr. Douglas (Peter Ploszek) and the Ghost Riders finally out of town. Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), also known as Mieczyslaw, is also back in the living world after being trapped in limbo. He is reunited with his new lady love, Lydia (Holland Roden) and best friend, Scott (Tyler Posey). Everyone headed off to different colleges -- Scott will be heading to UC Davis, Lydia will be off to MIT and Stiles will be studying a pre-FBI program at George Washington University and it's almost like it could be the fairytale ending fans would want for the crew. Unfortunately, 10 remaining episodes mean that a brand new danger is looming in the shadows.

The upcoming threat has been confirmed by Ashby when TVLine caught up with the actor at the recent Saturn Awards. He hinted that whatever the pack is set up to face will be powerful enough that some of Teen Wolf's beloved characters will meet their end in an effort to thwart the new villain(s).

“It’s a really cool season, and yes, a lot of people actually do die. It’s really about fear and people coming together in different camps, and it’s about intolerance. It’s about a lot of things that are pretty current right now. I think it’s going to be good.”

As of now, anything is possible for the upcoming second half of Teen Wolf's final season.  The uncertainty that we were left with in the midseason finale coupled with the time jump makes it difficult to pinpoint exactly where the show is headed narratively. One thing that fans can hold onto going in to the last 10 episodes of the show is Davis' promise of giving the show a fitting ending by honoring its characters.

No official return date is available yet for Teen Wolf season 6B. Be sure to check back on Screen Rant for more updates as we continue to monitor any significant developments on the show.
