Warning! Spoilers for Nightwing #88 by DC Comics

The Teen Titans just made a surprise reunion, as the superteam fought together to help Nightwing take on a group of deadly assassins. In Nightwing #88 by DC Comics, Dick Grayson unveils his plans to the public about building homes for those in need in Bludhaven. But, when a group of snipers tries to take him out, the Teen Titans make a surprise return and swing into action to stop those trying to kill Nightwing.

The Teen Titans are one of the most iconic superteams in the DC Universe. The group first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #64 before Marv Wolfman and George Perez rebooted the squad to wild success in the '80s. The New Teen Titans featured the most iconic team, with Cyborg, Nightwing, Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy, Wonder Girl, and Kid Flash on the roster. Those core members would remain forever tied to the Teen Titans, as the team would have a group of interchangeable members over the years. The New Teen Titans squad gained even more popularity after starring in the Teen Titans animated series and later getting a live-action adaptation in HBO's Titans.

In Nightwing #88 by Tom Taylor, Bruno Redondo, Adriano Lucas, and Andworld Design, Dick Grayson breaks ground at the Alfred Pennyworth Foundation. He promises to use the money he inherited to help the homeless in Bludhaven. However, as he gives his speech, the sharpshooter Gunbunny tries to take him out. Thankfully, the original Teen Titans members make a surprise reunion and stop her before she assassinates Nightwing. Starfire ends up breaking the gun as a shot is fired.

NIGHTWING-TEEN-TITANS

The Teen Titans continue to fight together with the assistance of Barbara Gordon, showing how well they work as a team in the process. The Flash takes Dick Grayson to safety and gives him a new bullet-proof costume, Beast Boy patrols the skies in search of a second shooter, while Starfire sends a message to the villain Blockbuster about how they'll be watching him and waiting for his next attack. It's just like the good ol' days.

Seeing the Teen Titans reunion in the pages of Nightwing was a lot of fun. Even if the heroes don't fight together as much anymore, as they work together at Titans Academy, seeing them team up to take down the snipers was a welcome sight. It showed, once again, why many consider them one the most exciting DC Comics' superteams. The Teen Titans fighting together again was an unexpected, delightful surprise. Nightwing #88 by DC Comics is in comic book stores now.
